Rei

As a royal butler, Rei is a lilidae of many exceptional skills: cooking, baking, cleaning, massaging, and mastering any kind of weapon even cutlery. He is from a family of butlers and maids that served the royal bloodline for generations, thus he was strictly trained since he was a child and was indoctrinated their family codes and principles. Even if he was only eleven years of age and under training, he was already assigned as the crowned prince's personal butler and bodyguard. He grew up alongside the prince so it was natural that he formed a strong bond especially when the kind prince called him his "friend". Despite liking the company of the prince, Rei cannot help but get stressed out when the prince's boyish and mischievous side gets the better of him rather than focus on his princely duties. This would persist even when the prince reached adulthood, but despite the prince's troublesome nature Rei is only loyal to him and doesn't bend the knee even to the king.

As expected of the prince's royal butler and bodyguard, Rei is a well-mannered and mild-tempered young man. While he was trained to have such a disposition he is also naturally kind and hardworking, and prioritizes above all else the well-being of the prince. However his selflessness and loyalty can sometimes be detrimental to his own health, which at times frustrated the prince. He is also tolerant of the prince's mischievous antics and enables him even if he doesn't agree with him, and would would still carry out whatever task the prince needed even if it can get him in trouble as well. While Rei is trained to be able to face any kind of opponent to the limit of his physical abilities, one of his greatest fears are ghosts and sadly the palace is no stranger to spooky tales and history.

The crowned prince whom Rei has sworn to protect with his life. While Rei is hesitant to see himself on equal ground as the prince, he appreciates that Haku calls him his "friend". Haku is the most important person to him not only because of his ingrained unyielding loyalty but also of how Haku has grown deeply close to his heart.

A young hybrid lilidae, a child of dusk. Mugi happens to be Haku's half sister. While he doesn't know her well he naturally feels protective of the small girl.
