Scott was born to a woman named Karin and a man named Martin Hudson on a cold winter night. Scott's mother, Karin was in a long family line of people blessed by a long gone dragon named Skadangkar'vahrthraxear, who favored her great great great grandmother and gave her a small fraction of his power in the form of an evolving gift. Karin explained to Scott when he became of age for his powers to manifest that the evolving gift gave their family inate fire magic that got stronger the further along in the line it went. Her power was strong, but Scott's was stronger. Scott had practiced all of his childhood to be able to use his powers effectively, he became a master of the few spells that came naturally to him.
Soon however, trouble would stir for the young boy. A group of men and women came to the town, having heard of the dragon's influence still remaining there and they came to extinguish it. So they found Karin and Martin and slew them. They hadn't found Scott or even heard of his existance however, thanks to his neighbors who protected him and hid him as one of theirs. After they had left Scott was alone, but quickly taken in by his parent's best friends, Eileen and Arthur Eisenberg, who raised him as their own. He would never forget that event and refused to let those responsible get away with it, despite not knowing anything about them he was determined to hunt them down as they had hunted his family.
Now Scott has grown into a man, continuing to serve his community for many years and seeking to hone his skills further, find out what happened to cause the dragons to disappear 100 years ago, and find out more about this mysterious dragon who gave him his gift. In this search however he found he would have to leave his home, and as he began to consider that magical storms began brewing and striking places all over the continent and Scott heard whispers that there were shadows of the long gone dragons in the clouds. Scott took it as a sign and packed up to leave, now traveling with his party consisting of Casper, Zigismund, Tuk and Cortland, seeking the same things he did before along with hoping to find out more about the storms and their causes.
The Painted One is Morthos' very peculiar patron and Morthos also considers him to be a close friend of his. He looks up to The Painted One and almost idolizes him in most regards. He aspires to be like him and he hopes that one day he can impress him.
Tatsuo is someone Morthos believes to be a good friend, More later...
Greg is another one of Morthos' good friends, even though he's not a part of the party anymore, he is still considered a friend.
