Zale is a quiet teen who usually sticks to himself and his small group. He can be cold if you don't know him but he warms up quite a bit if he knows someone well. He can be quite clingy at times, especially in cooler weather as some of the snake Miraculous's traits have transfered over to him. He's wise and tends to guide the team through difficult situations both as heroes and civilians. Like most snakes, however, Zale can turn on someone rather quickly if provoked and it never turns out well for the other party.
