Ash'alah has a rather unique elemental quirk for having the dust element. It's known as ignition, meaning that the dust he scatters in the air is EXTREMELY explosive. All it takes is a signal from his tail to cause mass destruction - a defense mechanism that has been directly responsible for keeping him alive in the face of older vani, who often 'mercy' kill any child vani they come across as they are considered too weak to participate in a mission of genocide. Ash'alah, in direct contrast to the rest of his kind, just wants to live. He can't explain it even to himself, but he does. This is what led to him eventually fleeing through a portal to the moon of Devaria, where his tether was located, which later put him directly in the line of fire for the invasion team sent to cleanse the moon of life.

Boss Fight
Forget about taking this little guy on at close-range. Unless you're immune to explosions both inside and out you ARE going to die - that explosive dust hanging around the air? Yeah, you're gonna breathe it in. If you do have to take him on at close range, make sure to hit Ash'alah's weak spot before he can get his tail up and fanned out like a peacock's. The dust won't explode if he can't signal it to, so if you can keep him from doing that, you've eliminated his greatest weapon from his arsenal. And since he's a baby vani, he doesn't know much more than the basics when it comes to fighting with his element. Or fighting in general, really, as Ash'alah goes straight to brawling when violence problems can't be solved with his element.
