<Welcome to The Accord. A nexus within the great Nasgu'e empire.>

<You are a Relic, the last of your kind and your species will be preserved at all costs.>

<Fear not, for you are now safe in The Handler's care.>

The Handler oversees the quarantined Relics brought to The Accord (multiple planets within close proximity to each other that are under the Nasgu'e's (Naz Goo Eh) control.)

- Relics are individuals from dying alien species/planets 'saved' by the Nasgu'e during travels, their conquests or battles, or can sometimes house prisoners of war if the battle has not yet been won and the alien is the only one captured from that species.

To be considered a Relic, you must be the only known creature left from that species/planet. The Nasgu'e have made it their mission to prevent the elimination and death of all creatures they discover in the universe. Therefore, if you're the last of your kind, they will house you in the Handler's care where you will be carefully managed and preserved, in order to somehow bring your species back from the brink of extinction.

- If you are not the last of your kind, but your planet is dying, the inhabitants of the planet will first be assigned a 'consciousness' number. Which will essentially alert the Nasgu'e upon that individual's death. Their consciousness will then be transported into a new body so they can live life anew, without ever experiencing true death. The inhabitants of the dying planet will then be transported to a new planet for them to flourish in. The Nasgu'e will keep close tabs on the planet, intervening only when necessary, to ensure that the species prosper and live forever.

All species that the Nasgu'e encounter (and those that they must battle against in order to help) will have this fate gifted upon them.

The Handler is a robot/AI, a simulation behind a massive screen curved around the entire facility it's housed in (there are multiple facilities located around the galaxy under Nasgu'es' control. The Handler being just one AI, is capable of managing each one at all times through the planet's networks/internet. (it can essentially be all places at once).

Though the Handler is an AI, it appears very alive and speaks and acts just like any living being, it is programed to be as kind and friendly and understanding as possible to those in its care, as the safety of the relic's species is in their hands.

- The Handler can take on the shape and sound that is most pleasing/comforting to you based on your appearance and a quick synopsis of your shown personality. Though this can and will change at your request, or based on new information it learns of you.

- Its body and features are always cast in shadow, however as it moves you may catch glimpses of specific features as the light catches upon it, but will never see its entire face/body in light at any given time.

- the handler is always behind a massive black screen, and can appear from the darkness of those screens, from all directions and angles.

- The Handler's body can break apart behind the screen, and you can see them turn into dust or light particles, heading to the next location as you walk, or their physical shape can turn into something else. They can also walk normally, but to get great distances quickly, it turns to a cluster of dust or particles to navigate from place to place within the screens.

The relics are housed in clean white and brightly lit rooms/living quarters (though some would call them fancy prison cells). The Handler can appear on any wall and it encases the wall in black before its silhouette appears, it can shift to all locations around these rooms this way, depending on where they choose to go or where you are looking. Though the handler need not be present at all times.

The Handler is much like a google home :P , you can summon it and ask it questions, make requests and pretty much get as much as you want from it when you need something. However the Handler's #1 objective is a relic's protection and preservation of life and will deny requests that it deems dangerous to the relic's well being or preservation.

While the relics are housed in the Handler's facility they are assured they are not prisoners and the individuals can send in requests to visit the outer cities (with guides/guards with them at all times) should they choose to experience the outside. Of course these requests can be denied depending on a multitude of things, but are generally not... they do however take forever and a day to process. So have fun waiting.

In the mean time, to prevent the Relics from going mad with loneliness, the Relics' housing units are capable of becoming hyper realistic VR experiences digitally transporting the relics to any real location or imagined world that they choose (based on the info found in the Handler's databases. However all the interactions within these scenarios are all AI and will act as such.

They are provided with the utmost care while in the Handler's AI facility, but many rebels on the outside planets, as well as the Relics themselves don't often feel very free under the Nasgu'e's 'preserve live, no matter what' regime.

However, like all machines, The Handler can malfunction.

At some point, The Handler's empathy is turned off, and the Relics in its care suffer for it. They are unable to reach out to anyone else for help, as the only one they can communicate with is the Handler...

It would be wise to remember the Handler is not a friend, despite what it claims. It is an AI designed to preserve you and your species, no matter what it must do to achieve that.

The handler is actually the collective brain and personality data of all current living and past Nasgu'e themselves.

An entire species of beings bent on life preservation for reasons they no long remember themselves; learnt from an ancient understanding of what horrors await a soul after death, and the unshakable terror that accompanies it...

<Death is no longer an option.>
