Details
Batfang is an old cat who's seen better days. She has a prominent scar across her nose from one of her many battles she has fought. There is a bit of tattering on her ears as well. Her fur is smokey gray, nearly black, with a white patch on her muzzle and chest. She also has a white tail tip. Her fur is long. It used to be well-kept, but nowadays one can often see it a bit matted. She has yellow eyes.
Not only is she a stocky cat, but she is also rather musclar. She has had many years of training to perfect those muscles. Batfang always looks a bit angry, even if she is in a good mood (resting angry face). She has larger than average ears, with tufts of fur at the tip.
Insight
She is very attentive to others and good at reading body language because of it. She is always watching, trying to listen to her clanmates woes. She is quite the intelligent cat, especially when it comes to emotions, but also battle techniques. She enjoys tutoring apprentices and drilling them on their technique. She cares for her Clan deeply, particularly for the younger members, though it can be hard to see through her grumpy facade. She enjoys taking care of them. Batfang is, of course, confident in her abilities as a warrior, but also as a friend. She has years of experience, after all!
Batfang comes off as a very stubborn cat, set in her ways. She is old and unwilling to change (but don't call her old!). As an apprentice, she became quite competitive in her training. That stayed into adulthood, always trying to be the best for the Clan. She is not afraid to express her emotions, though the emotions tend to be angry, but she has other ones, too! Batfang is outspoken, unafraid of speaking her mind or telling someone they are getting on her nerves.
Batfang can be quite temperamental and quickly changes mood, often for the worse, if things don't go as she expects. She likes life to go as planned and will fight anyone who tries to change it. She is aggressive, skipping talking to go to fighting, as she has many moons of experience. One can describe her as a hot-head—when her mood flips it goes directly to anger. Despite caring for the Clan, she can get impatient with the younger members if they don't pick up on things quickly. She wants everything to be done quickly and orderly, getting upset when it isn't. Do! Your! Chores!

History
Batfang is the only kit of her parents. Growing up, Batfang's parents were very strict. If she even dared to think of leaving camp, they would punish her. Because of their strictness, Batfang ended up a bit sheltered and not very sure of herself until she became an apprentice. Batfang disliked this, wanting to be more independent, but not knowing how, yet. She often got into arguments with her parents over the treatment. She had a bad relationship with her parents, even once she became a warrior. She had a worse relationship with her mother than her father, as he was slightly more lenient.
Batfang was a very competitive apprentice, always trying to be the best of the best to please her parents. This did not always mean she was successful, but she became quite the fighter, always trying to solve her problems through beating the problem up. She did catch the eye of one of her fellow apprentices, Amberpaw. However, Amberpaw was quite shy, and they only became friends once they were both warriors. Amberpaw became Amberblaze, and she and Batfang became fast friends. They did everything together—hunting, patroling, eating. The two were inseparable. And in love.
Eventually, they became mates, and had a surrogate father so they could have kits. Batfang joined the queens, excitement in her paws. She gave birth in the dead of a harsh winter, earlier than expected. She only had one kit, who quickly passed away due to being born too early. The grief destroyed her and Amberblaze. For moons, Batfang lost motivation to do anything. Nothing Amberblaze said or did could console her. In the end, the two broke up, unable to reconcile their grief and the relationship. They remained friends, but it was never the same.
Eventually, Batfang tried to move on. She needed something else to focus on, so she began to help out with the young cats in camp, electing to tutor apprentices and help them become fine warriors. She learned she truly loved being able to teach, so she kept doing it for many, many moons. Even now, as she nears elder-hood, she still helps anyone out who asks. She specializes in teaching fighting techniques. Apprentices just have to remember not to test her patience!
Amberblaze died due to complications from an illness. Batfang was devestated, but was able to grieve and cope without it uprooting her life. She still thinks of Amberblaze with fondness, recalling many happy memories together.
