Beast

One of the first creations of an unknown corporation on the eve of geopolitical war in the 1960s!  'Beast' is a creature of unknown origin using unknown parts, one of the first prototypes of many that were created by a contracted corporation desperate to get a leg up on their adversaries

And unfortunately, it worked.  'Beast' was the first successful prototype of her kind, a sentient beast that's both docile to her handlers and able to use tremendous power.  Unfortunately for everyone involved, Beast is also a diehard pacifist who refuses to lay a claw on anyone unless she personally deems them deserving of harm, and her definition of bad guy differs greatly from the government's

Beast is kind and friendly, watching over all other creations of the corporation with a sort of motherly care and protection.  Since all subsequent creatures were created from parts of her own body, she considers all of them her children and will do anything to protect them.  This includes going along with the corporation's plans to ensure their safety.  This has earned her the nickname 'Mother' by many of the employees who work with her

She has no mouth and communicates through projecting her voice into the surrounding area by a biological component in her throat!  She can run incredibly fast and often transports employees and other beings from one place to another, and can use her incredible strength to pry open emergency-locked doors to help people escape.  Her more sinister abilities are kept tight under lock and key, and it's anybody's guess just what this terrifying beast is capable of when she's backed into a corner
