Princess WinterBliss grew up in the Canterlot Castle with her sister AutumnBliss. When she was five years old, she received a letter of condolences for the sudden disappearance of her mother, SummerBliss.
As soon as she was able, she moved to Ponyville and made peace with her troubled past by helping out the ponies with their meaningless chores and labor. Her sister, Autumn, stayed behind in Canterlot.
At the event of the Canterlot Wedding, a band of changelings disguised as Guards escorted the blue alicorn to a "safe house", where they attempted to then take her hostage. Unfortunate for them, a reformed changeling took notice, and, as his duty of being a royal guard demanded, he took on the group single-hoofed. Dumbstruck but thankful, Winter made sure the wounded guard was taken care of and not executed along with the other prisoners-of-war found during and after the tragic event in Canterlot.
He became her personal guard and soon after, her husband. Tirelessly, he protected her against whatever came their way, and a changeling and pony truly fell in love, with no need of spellcraft. They had a son, ArmoredIce, and a daughter, ArcticStar.
ArmoredStar[ Husband ]
They met when he saved her life from his own species- changelings. As a royal guard himself, he felt dedication to guarding the ponies, and princesses, of Equestria. He left his hive with Chrysalis and became Winter's sole bodyguard.
ArmoredIce[ Son ]
It was little surprise that he came out precisely identical to ArmoredStar's "pony form". Taking after his father, ArmoredIce joined the royal guards. You can always tell them both apart by faint facial features and personality. ArmoredIce is far more feminine.
ArcticStar[ Daughter ]
ArcticStar is a beloved daughter to Winter and a highly talented unicorn. No pony is quite sure how blue left the gene pool and pink buried itself inside, but the pastel-colored unicorn had her older brother to stick up for her, and her mother to pay for the tuition at Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns.
