Physical Appearance

• Medium-length slate colored hair, slightly longer bangs on his right side
• Usually mildly unshaven

Clothing Style

Freyr rarely dresses above casual and will usually only go into business-casual for even formal events. He's usually relaxing at home or out on the town, running errands in the late morning or looking for ladies to hook up with. When out and about he tends to stick with jeans and shirts or varying sleeve lengths depending on the weather. He usually wears or at least carries a light jacket with him, his favorite being a blue jacket with the right sleeve torn off from a rather violent encounter he doesn't elaborate on. His favorite top is a long sleeved black and white shirt with non-parallel, horizontal stripes. His jeans more often than not are faded and more on the blue-ish gray side rather than blue, and they are frequently worn out or torn somewhat. He never leaves home without his green scarf that he usually wears as a belt, and he rarely takes off his gold family medallion.

Personality

Freyr is a cheery and rather chatty lady's man and a closeted-chef. He's very much a chatterbox and loves socializing with new people and those he already knows. He can also be a touch nosy at times and flourishes when he's in the company of others. He's also quite a romantic, yet he doesn't seem capable or willing to commit to any serious relationships yet, so he prefers to just hook up with women temporarily. However, he treats every woman he encounters with proper respect and never views them as "the next conquest." Each one is a new, special individual to him when they catch his eye, but unfortunately his interest fades quickly even though he'll still think of the ones he likes the most fondly. Around his family he's probably twice as chatty and occasionally likes to play tricks or pranks on them, and he acknowledges he can get on some of their nerves at times. He is especially close with his younger brother, Shakuru, and often tries to get him to lighten up with his antics. Although he likes to annoy Shakuru on purpose, the two are best friends and it's obvious that Freyr dotes on him and would do anything to protect him. Freyr is also incredibly close with his mother and knows he's a bit of a mama's boy at times, although he wouldn't say he's necessarily dependent on her and is more interested in keeping her closely in his life along with the rest of his siblings.

Freyr holds a confident exterior, but he has a rather suppressed inferiority complex due to feeling like he's incompetent and useless compared to his vastly more successful siblings. He never shows it to others of course, but he does get depressed by the fact he's barely done anything significant with his life and doesn't believe he can hold himself up to the standards they've set. Freyr knows he's a bit lazy and irresponsible, and big responsibilities tend to scare him off. He does take more initiative when if comes to doing things for his family though, but otherwise he tends to be very casual and doesn't take a lot seriously. He purposely tries to make his life as stress-free as possible, yet even this can stress him out too since he feels like this way of life is making him something for his family to be ashamed of. But to everyone else, Freyr usually seems either mellow and relaxed or cheery and energetic. Since Freyr also doesn't like confrontation or conflict much, he comes off as a very chill and easy to approach man who hardly has any troubles.

Freyr also thoroughly enjoys cooking and baking, but he has no confidence about it when around other people. Alone he is a wizard in the kitchen, but he will never attempt it if anyone else other than Shakuru might walk in and see him doing so. He's of the mentality that his older brothers might see his love for such things to be a sign of weakness or that they might be ashamed of him for pouring his passion into something without having any ambition to be a huge success like many of his siblings are. Shakuru tries to assure him it's a silly fear to have, but Freyr can't help but want it to stay a secret. This stems from the fact that most of his brothers are extremely strong or masculine or very successful with their lives, and that he's at home baking pastries and unemployed. Although he's not personally ashamed of his love for cooking, he doesn't want to give his family another reason to be embarrassed by him (even though they're not in the least, he's just being paranoid). Eventually though he grows more confident about it, especially when he realizes his siblings actually don't care that he enjoys creating in the kitchen and are rather impressed he was able to fool them into thinking their mother has been cooking for them all the time for almost a decade.

• Although confident in public, he constantly judges himself against his siblings and tends to feel inadequate

Backstory

Freyr spent his childhood getting into trouble and annoying his older siblings whenever he got the chance, since his mother tended to baby him even more since he was one of the youngest of the siblings. He could get away with most of the pranks and bothersome activities since his mother was usually too exasperated from raising all her children, and the only problems he had to avoid were his siblings and their wrath. Freyr was particularly close with his younger brother, Shakuru, since for five years Freyr had no other younger siblings but him. Freyr always felt a little detached from his other siblings since the three next older siblings kept to themselves most often and the other siblings were always busy with training or studying, and his constant bothering of them stemmed from him seeking attention they rarely gave him.

Freyr wasn't particularly bothered by his father's death initially since he was one of the youngest siblings that had to avoid getting eaten by him when he was in a bad mood, although it weighed more heavily on him the more the years passed as he watched his mother languish in mourning. Freyr took up accompanying her almost everywhere to try and keep her spirits up, and he picked up on all the household chores along the way, eventually completing tasks more efficiently than his mother and later taking over the tasks for her completely. 

He grew fond of cooking in his teen years since his mother would often be too depressed to cook and he would do so for her instead. He never told his other siblings other than Shakuru about his cooking though since he was under the impression they'd be embarrassed by him. He always had a slight fear of being useless compared to all his other siblings since they were all ambitious and skilled at their choice of trade, whereas Freyr had no idea what he wanted to do with his life. By the time he thought he would consider his options he was in his twenties, and his confidence was crippled by the belief he could never make anything of himself since he wasn't interested or certain he was capable of pursuing cooking as a career. He keeps a happy face on though to not only reassure his family nothing is wrong, but also to convince himself his family isn't ashamed of him (which they aren't... he's just imagining things).
