Admiral Fjord

A golden-brown tom with dark tabby stripes. He has a white underside and white splotches on his face as well as dark markings on his tail tip, face, and paws. His ears are ragged and torn with one split in half with a large scar that continues down the right side of his face. His right eye is missing and permanently closed under this scar. His left eye is a amber-green. His face is square and strong but there's a droop to it that's come with age and stress. The rest of his body is strong and fit though, with broad shoulders and a thick-set torso. His fur is medium length that flows into a silky mane around his neck. He has tall, strong forelegs and shortened hindlegs, giving him a sloped back. He is larger than most cats.

The only thing that really gives away Admiral Fjord's past as captain of the scouts is the scars that litter his face and body. As far as scouts go, Fjord has always been very laid-back and non-aggressive. His preference has always been to de-escalate a situation rather than fan the flames for a fight. It was this unique feature that got him promoted to captain in the first place and what ultimately won over the colony to pick him for admiral. Younger, brasher cats may perceive his avoidance to violence as a weakness but the older generations have lived through admirals who sought conflict and suffered for it. The Colony has prospered under Admiral Fjord's peaceful reign, that much is true.

Although he has no kits of his own, Fjord is certainly a father type. He has always taken a great interest in the future of the Colony and many younger cats consider him a second father-figure or even their only father-figure for those with absent parents. He does not prescribe to the idea of being worshiped or above his colony and thus is not afraid to tussle with kittens and apprentices half his size.

Even as a young cat Fjord had always been reserved and a "gentle soul" so it came as a surprise to everyone when he chose the path of a scout. When asked why not be a guide or weaver he would simply reply "I want to protect what I care about." And despite his gentle nature, he learned to be a formidable opponent. His large size and broad-shoulders grew packed with muscle that were used mercilessly against predators of all shapes and sizes. When it came to other cats though his soft heart remained and he would often choose to talk strangers out of traveling through the valley rather than begin with threats and unsheathed claws.
