His mother and father were the rulers of a kingdom. They ruled adequately until war broke out with another kingdom. When the war was over it left the people of the kingdom in a turmoil. During the war, the queen became corrupt and started focusing more on money and greed then the welfare of the people. This only furthered the kingdom's mistrust in her. The king turned a blind eye to his wife's actions and spent his days drinking and grumbling to his guards about how hard it was to take care of a kingdom. The queen often had to take on some of her husband's job along with her own due to his avoidance of responsibility. Their son, the prince, was considered the future of the kingdom. He looked up to his parents as they were always looking out for him. His father told him countless stories of faraway lands and his mother often spoiled him with tons of toys and only the finest of everything. When his parents died the price was left with a foul view of the kingdom. Between his father's claims that running such a place was a huge burden and his mother's materialistic view, he couldn't help but despise his job. After a fire burned half of the land and all eyes were turned to the new price he immaturely decided he didn't want this kind of pressure. He promptly sold the kingdom to a neighboring kingdom for a large chest of gold. The people, who were rightly outraged now that the land was being run by an unheard of king with unknown views and morals, set up a witch-hunt for the prince to bring him to justice. The prince escaped and is now living on his own, constantly on the move. He didn't know what he did was wrong, with all the things he had learned from his parents he was surprised no one had done this sooner. Once he realized his mistake he joined forces with the pirate that scammed him and a young dog named Acacia who was sent to track him down and bring him to justice. He and Ruth got along best, but he found himself spending more and more time with Acacia. Ruth pointed out that Acacia had a crush on him, and it was the only reason she hadn't turned him in yet. He used this to get her on his side and the three of them went back. The civilians welcomed him back with surprising haste, but only because the rebellion that had started in his absence was scaring them. Lotus, leader of the rebellion, was hell-bent on overthrowing Aaron in the name of what she considered 'justice'. After dozens of threats and attacks on the palace, Aaron went to meet her. He was a king now, and there was no way he was giving up this power. The time he spent away from the kingdom taught him not to be taken advantage of, and that he needed to fight to keep what was his. So, without a warning, he killed Lotus in the middle of the street, in front of her followers as she gave her speech. Such a bold move should have cost him his life, but the crowd was disoriented and panicked long enough for Aaron's guards to take action. Two years later he was ruling the kingdom with an iron paw, anyone daring to oppose him went missing. He was still jovial and charming but he was cold and oppressive. Acacia, now his wife and queen, saw this. He was no longer the one she had fallen for and he was hurting her people. He poisoned him by giving him the meat of a rabid hare for dinner. When he starting falling ill he was cast out of the kingdom, as a tradition when one goes rabid and is currently wandering around the desert with only Malik keeping him alive. Aaron is confused and doesn't even know he is possessed, his mind is scrambled.
His personality had changed quite a bit, going from runaway prince to king, while at first, he was rebellious, optimistic, curious and well-meaning, this faded when he reached adulthood and had to face his kingdom again, his curiosity, joyful attitude and wonder wore off. He takes threats much more seriously now, he doesn't rebel against the laws of the kingdom but does find them inconvenient. He still enjoys life, throwing parties and talking to his friends, but he acts is much snider and underhanded towards them, everyone by now knows he is very possessive of his things.
