Wendel is a Nexus-6 replicant, originally created as a combat unit but since has been relegated as the personal bodyguard of a small family who emigrated to the off-world colonies. He is having trouble adjusting.
He has no sense of empathy and has weird interactions with humans because of this, but is not needlessly cruel (unless ordered to be). The family he is tasked to protect is not unkind to him, but there is a clear level of distrust towards Wendel and they (the parents, especially) do not see him as an equal. He keeps his mind off his imminent death and his status as little more than a tool by constantly daydreaming of different realities. He has created entire worlds in his mind, but cannot seem to populate these worlds with people other than himself.
Wants to go rogue, but sees no point considering his lifespan.
