Amaranth's best friend! They bond over being dragons <3
Once a month in the humble town in which this Dragonkin resides, a star shower takes place, raking the sky with blinding white lines. It is a sight to behold, and it is common for people to gather their families and spectate from atop whichever hill they may find suitable.
What is uncommon, however, is the aforementioned Dragonkin.
They spectate as well, of course. They even find a hilltop from which to do so.
But as the stars come tumbling across the sky in droves, the Dragonkin will stand up from their perch and cup their hands as though ready to drink from a stream, and raise their arms up high in anticipation. Little flecks of starlight diverge from their path, darting towards the dragon like loyal hounds to their owner, and stop obediently in their palms. Hovering, vibrating with life and energy.
The Dragonkin will smile then and stow away their prize somewhere secret before leaving as quietly as they arrived. Thus far, nobody has been able to figure out what kind of magic they are up to or whether it is magic at all.
