INFORMATION

The form Henri assumes during full moon nights, it's still unknown why werewolves are forced to take this form when the moon is full. Some suggest it's an ancient curse, while others claim it's their original true form the full moon's phases force out.

Werewolves who spend their whole lives donning this form do exist and have a perfect control of themselves, but often live away from human civilization or in desolate places where their form brings them no harm or trouble. The existence of these werewolves implies that it’s possible to gain a control of their instincts even during a full moon, but the more domestic werewolves like Henri simply haven’t figured out how to. Perhaps they’re simply not used to the strong instincts the moon brings out in them.

Henri has great trouble controlling even his partial transformation during these times, and isn't in perfect control of himself when in this form.
Appearance

During a full moon his form becomes taller and more muscular, with heavy shoulders, ragged mane and large arms. His fur is darker in colour and looks dirtier and more unkempt, also becoming more rough in texture. Likewise his voice deepens considerably, becoming lower and more animal-like, obscuring his speech and making it difficult for others to understand what he is saying.

Transformation during this time is painful for Henri personally, and he finds it difficult to control even his partial transformation during the day. Though during the day he will still assume his default werewolf form, controlling the extent of his shifting is difficult and Henri usually plays it safe by keeping a completely human form instead.
Personality

In this form Henri becomes more feral and unpredictable, although still manages to keep some of his senses and identity. He acts more like an animal and tends to keep his distance to others in fear of accidentally hurting them: while he isn’t violent, he always fears he might get too excited and cause physical harm to others without meaning to.

Henri usually claims he doesn’t like full moons and it’s the only day when being a werewolf isn’t that great, but secretly he doesn’t exactly hate it: he enjoys the feeling of letting himself go a little and be destructive, even if he truly worries for the wellbeing of others. Henri often compares his feelings about his full moon form to being angry: you don't want to be angry, you don't want to hurt others when you're angry, but there is something really refreshing in being able to let it out rather than try to suppress it.
Trivia

  • A good meal before an involuntary change usually keeps Henri from wanting to hunt and kill anything, but if he transforms while hungry there is a high chance he will kill to eat. This has happened only a few times in the past, though thankfully all his victims were forest animals rather than humans.

  • In this form Henri is able to turn a person into a werewolf if they survive his bite. However, turned werewolves can only turn into their full moon form, and as such tend to be more dangerous and unpredictable in nature due to this. Werewolves try their hardest not to accidentally bite people.
  • This form is a reminiscence of the more traditional werewolf form seen as a monster by humans, which is also where the most popular werewolf descriptions stem from.
  • Werewolves can speak in this form but rarely do, instead letting out animal-like grunts and groans: talking is difficult for them and uses a lot of mental strength, hence why most don't even bother.
