Avira

Avira is a Velociraptor who was born blind. He was taken in by a onlooking female Gobipteryx after being left for dead by his family who figured his disability meant a low chance of survival. Under his new mom, he'd undergo many hardships trying to learn basic hunting and survival skills, though she was persistent in helping him. One day, he'd come to realize that if he made a noise, the sound would travel and bounce. After that, he'd almost regularly be training his ears by chirping and clicking to navigate or listening real close for sound and movement. Now? Very little gets passed him.

After the inevitable passing of his mother, he'd set off on his own and find himself with Clovis's pack, taking the role as the pack's main lookout. It took awhile to get used to being around others of his own kind and not his more avian cousins, but they've grown very important to him the longer he's been with them. He's very curious and loves to learn and mess with things, often picking up objects in his environment for no other reason but because he wants to know what it is or because he just wants to know what it feels like in his talons. Could be seen as odd given his lacking-but-improving social skills, but he's friendly and easy to get along with.

-Used to be named "Sasuke".
-Was originally a dog, but pretty quickly became a raptor due to my tendency of drawing mostly raptors at the time.
-Used to enjoy reading books and I imagine if he lived in the modern era, he'd still own quite a few books in brail.
