Henry Walker

Henry grew up in a larger flock with both his parents and his two older brothers. Because of his small wings his parents were noticeably more protective then they had previously been to the point of being excessively. They didn't allow him out of the house too much and never without at least one of them with him at all times. While they weren't nearly as bad his brothers were also rather protective. This meant that none of them paid too much attention to his opinion, especially his parents, because they felt they knew what was best for his safety.

Whenever he was out and about, if people didn't immediately see one of his parents or siblings with him they'd approach him just to "make sure he was okay" and stuff like that. It's because of this he became much more loud and outgoing, hopping and craving that they'd approach him instead because they wanted to hang out with or talk with him. Wanting to instead be approached because of who he was and not because of his wings. Henry never really managed to make too many friends despite this, most would avoid befriending him because of his wings.

While they were really protective they also both worked a lot so when he was younger one of his brothers or a neighbor would usually be left to watch him. Once he was older they felt he knew to behave and got more comfortable with him staying alone. Henry was ten the first time he ever snuck out of his house, he didn't have any intention of leaving the area where they lived, just wanted to walk around a bit, maybe even play with some of the other kids. He wasn't out for more than fifteen minutes before someone noticed he wasn't with anyone and approached him. His parents were both livid and horrified when they found out, Jason (his oldest brother) was also really upset with him because he was the one that was supposed to be watching Henry and got in a lot of trouble as a result. He didn't try again for a long while after that.

The second time he did sneak out was when he was fourteen and he didn't make the same mistake again. This time when he snuck out he actually left the area where the flock lived intending to explore the woods nearby and anything that lay after it. His trip lasted for a good many hours and while he didn't find the end of the woods he was really happy when he returned home at the end of it. His parents never learned about this trip or the many other trips he took after. Infact sneaking out became a frequent habit of his.
