Vanta
Vanta is one of Imke's pets. She's a lowborn beast person, the result of an ancient spiritual merge that created hybrids between various animals, and is the result of feral wolves and dobermanns getting a second cross with humans or beings of similar intelligence. Her sapient blood is so weak it's barely noticeable outside of her increased social behaviour and she is far closer to an animal than to man.
The threeway cross grew her species to a giant size, easily towering over even the largest of men. She's a sociable sweetheart who only attacks on Imke's command, but has the tendency to inflict wounds due to her size and sometimes overexcitable nature. She may be used to handling an elderly lady like Imke and a tiny blind familiar like King, but she still is a highly energetic beast who towers over anyone she meets.
People have a tendency to be afraid of Vanta, even though she's only a threat to those who are a threat to others. She's as good as a lapdog and craves close social contact. She often guides King with her loud barking, giving the familiar a sound to run after.

Vanta is a large wolfbeast standing 272 cm or 8'11 tall at the top of her back. Her body is fairly skinny, but muscular enough to carry her heavy weight in a sprint. She is a combination between a doberman dog and a wild wolf with a small portion of human genes thrown into the mix - her black and cream fur patterns are closer to her dog part, her fur distribution to her wolf part, and the general deformed anatomy of her chest, shoulders, and legs are influenced by her human genes. She's most comfortable standing with a hunched back but can straighten it out a little by stretching her hind legs. Her neck is stretched out in comparison to her body and her spine is slightly shorter than a dog's.
Like a wolf, she has thick fluff all over her body, mostly situated around the neck, legs, and tail. Her main coat colour is a dark black. Typical doberman markings adorn her face and paws, also showing spots on the eyebrows and shoulders. Her shoulder stripe extends into three more stripes and her neck shows four more stripes on each side, each having a darker black accent behind it. On her front paws she has a black spot on the back of the paw and the toes are black with a small cream spot on the back of each toe. The bottom of her tail is cream and has three markings fading towards the back of the tail. From the base of her head to the end of her tail she has a darker black strip running over her back, staying nicely in the center except for a small area where it dips into her hips.
Her head resembles that of a regular doberman with larger pointed ears; she has a small rip in her left ear. Her shoulders are large and exaggerated, the connecting legs with a short upper arm and a much longer lower arm. Her front paws are modified so that they're smaller in length than a regular dog's, even giving her an opposable thumb on each paw. Her hind legs are very strongly bent; both the upper and lower leg expanded as a human's would be. The back paws are more dog-like with a slightly opposable thumb that otherwise can't be used like the front paws' thumb. Her toes each have a sharp black claw and a black bean on the underside.

Vanta is an energetic and happy-go-lucky wolfbeast. A loyal animal, she is Imke’s primary guardian and will attack those who endanger her master. Her size and appearance are usually nothing to worry about, as she’s a highly sociable animal, much akin to a regular dog. She enjoys physical contact and snuggling, her favourites being chest rubs and her head being hugged by a loved one. She can face most danger without fear but has yet to learn how to deal with most types of magic and tiny creatures. She has an affinity for rain and water, but thunderstorms and loud noises make her restless and noisy.
Her energy and excitement tend to make her blind to collateral damage her size and movement cause, like when knocking over objects and running her claws over others. When she’s excited, she’s hard to calm down again until she has found an output for her extra energy, which usually includes rough play and chasing things at a high speed. She’s fast and strong, making this a daunting task that Imke often cannot complete, leaving the wolfbeast full of energy and oftentimes restless. When she has too much energy in her, Vanta has a tendency to bark and suggestively shove into her companions to hint them at playing with her, something that can cause issues due to her carelessness at that point.
In terms of intelligence, she’s comparable to an intelligent dog. While she is often too caught up in her excitement to think before acting, she can utilise her smarts when she’s capable of focusing. She was easy to train and was fairly obedient of a pet as a puppy, and has retained most of that as she grew older. With her age came some stubbornness, more out of her knowing what’s best for her than out of a need to disobey and be adverse. Her problem solving skills can be summed up in two steps: one, can it be solved by using my size against it? Two, can it be solved by thinking? She’s the type of wolfbeast to expect a solution to every issue, and will gladly keep barking at the issue until Imke finds one for her if Vanta herself is unable to figure it out.

Vanta's species is the result of a spiritual purge that happened ages ago; various species got combined into a hybrid of the two. Most died out, but hers is one that remained. She's got the loyalty and patterns of a doberman, the spirit and fur of a wolf, and a small amount of human blood that mostly influnced the curve of her back and the proportions of her legs.
Her size does bring some issues with it. She requires daily exercise and play, but with Imke's old age and tired body she can't always provide that. King, on the other hand, is blind and too small to properly play with Vanta without getting trampled. She does wear herself out running around on her own, but it's not enough. As a result, she has a tendency to bark and run around wildly from time to time.
Her species can grow well into their 60's, so she's an adult at her age of 37.
Imke Lindstrom ✦ Owner
Imke is Vanta’s owner and raised her since she was a pup. She was treated as a friend and companion first, and as a guardian second, but was still trained to be effective at protecting her master. Vanta cares about her deeply and understands her social cues to become defensive when in contact with others. She still has issues understanding the boundaries of her old age.
King ✦ Companion
King was around for Vanta's whole life, and even though Vanta has always been taller than him, they've always been great companions. King is one reason why Vanta has a tendency to be loud; her noise often leads the blind familiar and aids him in following Vanta around when they're playing. King's too slow and fragile for her, but still an enjoyable playmate.
