Clothing Style

Jane used to only wear her traditional Dalian nun clothing, but since she's been running the Redemvi Cathedral by herself for the past few generations her outfits have become more personalized, since she rarely reveals herself to the church goers. She wears a lavender colored dress with an asymmetrical slightly-ruffled skirt and a corset top. She almost always wears a lavender veil with gold lace around the edges, and she only removes it while alone or when with only her closest of friends. Her sleeves have loose sections at the elbow and form fitting sections around her forearms, where she wears gold laced armbands. Her footwear is typically white and gold patterned boots. She also wears light purple leggings and a white sash belt with a gold clasp around her waist. She usually wears a lavender scarf to cover the bite scar on her neck.

Personality

Jane is a quiet and reserved woman who serves as a Dalian nun for the cathedral in the town of Salvicrad. Despite her condition as a vampire and the risks of keeping herself around hallowed ground and handling sacred objects/artifacts, her faith in Lord Dalia has remained unwavering. She tends to keep herself in the background, both because she is a rather shy and unassuming woman and also because she doesn't want to frighten anyone unfamiliar with her due to the stigma around vampires. She is fully accepted in the Salvicrad community though since she and her family were valued members of it before she was turned into a vampire long ago, and she has simply been accepted by the following generations. She works with the other members of the church to maintain the cathedral and carry out mass and ceremonies and minimize the risk on herself. Jane always maintains a polite and respectful demeanor around everyone she comes across, and she is selfless in caring for others and giving to those in need. She is willing to put herself in harm's way to help or protect others, both because she is more resilient to injuries and also because she does not fear death or pain in the slightest.

Jane acts and speaks with the maturity of her true age, which she has never specifically told anyone, and she can sometimes find it difficult to relate to others since she still looks youthful and Salvicrad is primarily populated by mortals. She opts to keep to herself most of the time and rarely reveals herself if outsiders are visiting the town. Those fortunate enough to befriend her will find her to be kind, supportive, and ever charitable. She tends to be rather old-fashioned in her mannerisms and habits, and she is always modest and rather traditional about her behavior. She is not dismissive or averse to more progressive people though, and while she may not be the most exciting person to be around, many people find her to be reassuring and a calming figure they can turn to for advice.

Backstory

Jane was born and grew up in Salvicrad as the daughter of the high priest of the cathedral. She dedicated her life to carrying out Lord Dalia's will and serving the community, assisting her father as a nun. One day though, the cathedral was attacked by a clan of vampires. Her father and the majority of the congregation were slaughtered, and the head of the clan drank her blood and enslaved her for several years as they traveled across Yamila. Eventually the clan encountered a group of Dalian missionaries, and Jane managed to slip away after the lead vampire was slain during their conflict.

She returned to Salvicrad, her presence at first alarming the residents. The survivors of the attack recognized her, and they allowed her to return to the previously abandoned cathedral. Her efforts to restore the cathedral inspired the still recovering members of the town to help her, and Jane carried out her father's duties in leading the community with Lord Dalia's teachings.

Currently it has apparently been several generations since this occurred, to the point where none of the current townsfolk were alive at the time she was turned. The community simply knows her as the kind vampire nun who tends to the cathedral. The church still has no replacement clergy, so Jane carries out services and ceremonies herself with some assistance from volunteers. Although the cathedral is known to be one of the most impressive structures of Lord Dalia's following, Jane tends to hide herself away when curious sightseers visit the town. She is content to fade into history and remain a passive figure known to only her community.
