Just messy notes for now but I wanted everything in one place
Anri - Inazuman, uses she/they, fairly tall, and dresses in practical fall colored clothes. Dendor/sword.
- When they were younger they lived for a few years with their mother's younger sister in Sumeru. They were quickly inspired the Academia and the scholars and quickly developed their own love of learning.
- They did eventually returned to Inazuma, and became determined to develop something like a National library and museum for their home nation. After all, why should only Sumeru be known for learning? And after all, wasn't preserving the past treasures of Inazuma a part of eternity?
- When people ask them why they came home instead of becoming a scholar themselves, they responded by saying that being a scholar was actually more restricting than they realized, and that they wanted to do things on their own terms in Inazuma.
- This has caused some of the Sumeru scholars that are Inazuma to be either dismissive or outright look down on Anri at times, seeing them as someone who chose to give up rather than try to achieve anything.
- Comes from a well-off family. Family members include her grandmother and grandfather, her mother and father, her Aunt in Sumeru, and another Aunt and Uncle in Inazuma. She also has several assorted cousins, and three siblings. An older sister who's the eldest, and two older brothers who happen to be twins. She's closest to one of her cousins who works at the police station.
- Their family doesn't really try to stop them from perusing their dream, but Anri has noticed that their support is more of that of them indulging what they see as a hobby for their youngest. They don't support the dream financially, but they stay out of the way and Anri gets a small allowance so they don't starve.
-They got their Vision one day while looking through some ruins for old records. Part of the ground fell away, dropping them to a lower level and putting out the lantern they were carrying. Barely able to see, they thought about trying to get out, but, as they felt around for their lantern, they decided that they were stubbornly going to find those old records first. Then suddenly there was a slight glow that let them find their lantern, and that was their new Dendro vision.
Much to their disappointment their family was more excited about their Vision than the actual manuscript they found.
-They do have a building that has their small museum in it! First floor has the artifacts they've collected, carefully labeled with descriptions and dates. Upstairs is the library portion, with actual books for people to read and a room for the older manuscripts in the back. Their 'office' is a small space that looks like it was a closet once.
-They're actually very good with a sword, and people sometimes wonder why they didn't take fully samurai training themselves. They often run into treasure hoarders or even Fauti that are after the same thing they are, or just trying to take something in the area, and Anri has been forced to take them down.
- The thing is that Anri does not like fighting. They hate it. So they've become very good at it so they can get it over with quickly.
-Anri also has a lot of social anxiety. They don't know how to deal with people well outside of talking about their museum or Inazuma itself. They often get nervous, and are very shy. A lot of people around the city know them as the shy little scholar without knowing how strong they really are.
-So for Anri the scariest thing is having to talk with important people. Taking out a group of Fatui skirmishers? Straightforward. Easy. They would rather do that then a meeting with one of the Tri-Commissons to ask for funding. Ayaka is terrifying to them.
-They deal really well with kids though! They don't find kids as intimidating as adults and often hold history lessons in the museum, or tell stories.
