Hali works at Happy Fingers, a new/used musical instrument store in Brooklyn, with her friends Jill, Amber, and Lupe.

The shyest and youngest member of Jill's cavalry, Hali reads a lot, and writes poetry when the store is slow. She tends to keep to herself when she has the chance-- which is to say, when Jill & co. aren't around to forbid it-- but she loves hanging out with her friends and she can come out with unexpected, witty things to say at opportune moments. She's a sweetheart, bashful and timid. The others like to tease her, especially about boys, and she's easy to embarass-- Lupe in particular will never let the poor girl live.

Hali paints a little, and she writes fanfiction she doesn't want anyone to know about. She played the clarinet in high school.

Hali drives a light blue classic Beetle that she's very proud of.
