Story

Yorito is Yaiba's younger half-brother through their mother. As his parents were a yuki-onna and yuki-otoko, he is a full-blood yuki-otoko. His mother was the okami of a historical family owned ryokan. He was well aware of his mother's unhappiness in her marriage and was a very quiet and reserved child to try to please his mother. His mother eventually passed away from illness and sorrow, leaving him with his father. His father never really had an interest raising him and once Yorito turned 16, his father left him behind and got remarried. Since he still had the ryokan in memory of his mother, he decided to take over as the host of the ryokan. In the courtyard of the ryokan, Yorito keeps a small colony of rabbits.

Personality

Yorito has a cold and distant personality. He's frosty and withdrawn from everyone. Being cold to prevent others from getting close to him is his way of protecting himself. He gets attached to others easily and to ensure he doesn't get hurt or abandoned, he tries not to become involved with others. He gets quite attached to those who have earned his trust, particularly seen with his big brother Yaiba. He's extremely attached and protective of Yaiba, but is also jealous of Yaiba's freedom. His constitution is quite weak in all seasons other than winter due to him being a yuki-otoko so he tries not to overexert himself. Yorito's prone to bouts of loneliness, jealousy, self-doubt, and depression; he just wants someone he can lean on for support. Yorito has some ice powers, can summon snowfall (but not snowstorms), and can freeze things with his breath.
