Lost Miner

The corpse of a miner that was crushed in a cave-in, his flesh having long since rotted away. He wanders aimlessley through the cavernous mineshaft, one hand perpetually grasping the pickaxe he held during the moments he died. Despite the lack of vocal chords he can speak few phrases, repetetive though they may be. He can be heard calling out for help, begging for his fellow miners not to leave him, and lastly his dying gasps and the gurgles of him choking on his own blood. Encounters with the Miner seem to show him to be confused when approached, though on one occasion, the encounter went south as one of the trial subjects chose to touch the Miner. They narrowly missed getting freely lobotomised by the swing of the pickaxe. It is thought that he is blind, and it would make sense, as he travels the same path through the mineshaft repeatedly, stopping and certain points as if it were his muscle memory. His behaviour leans towards "baiting", his calls for help aimed to get people to come closer to him. It is unsure whether he has any higher form of communication as his encounters with others have shown him to be more like an instinctually driven animal than a creature that used to be human. Subjects that have attempted to communicate through visual cues such as waving or sign language have simply been ignored or, alternatively, unseen. He seems to be mild mannered enough to walk up to or past, but doesn't appear to like being touched. Despite presumably being all skeleton due to his age, only the Miner's skull is visible, the rest of his clothing looking filled out in a way that skeletal remains would not allow. Further encounters would need to be done in order to get a true grasp on his properties or possible movement to another location.
