Once a mobster, then a gambler, now a radio host, ShowHost's interests flit often, but he holds onto them all so tightly. But despite not having a single, cohesive theme like most devils, ShowHost is a candid example of what devilkind has to offer: Nothing but malice and entitlement.
ShowHost has been around for a very very long time, despite what is written here, and though his interest currently seems to lie in taking the devilcrown, rest assured he will certainly take time out his schedule to completely ruin a person, given the chance.

Simply put, under no circumstances should this devil be called or interacted with.
In the case of ShowHost, the only winning move is not to play.

"And you'd think we'd've learned by now: If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. And my goodness, does the devil fall back on that snake so much! And yet, he keeps doing it. I mean I guess if it ain't broke, don't fix it!" -Anna Vanarde on Dionysus' Descent (1961)

Summary

Thoroughly confident and thoroughly dangerous, ShowHost currently spends his time in television and radio hosting. And with enough effort and dedication, enough digging through channel after scrambled channel of static, of twisting the dial in just the right pattern, at just the right time, one may even find him. And he is well aware when a new viewer has tuned in. He may just even call them to attention.

ShowHost observes humans like a spider does a fly; curious, playful, teasing, and ultimately delaying the inevitable just for his own enjoyment. He may appear to humans as amicable and polite, but looks are always deceiving, and behind that guise lies only a hungry, eager cruelty. ShowHost sees most every conversation as a game to be won, another pawn to be brought to his side or brought to their knees. Likewise, there’s a quiet charisma to everything he does. Everything is slow and everything is calculated. He’ll always know the right words and the right moves to lure in even the most skeptical. Suffice to say, he knows human psychology like the back of his hand and he will use that in every instance he can.

But with his love for games, his complex with success, one has to wonder if there's an underlying reason for it. ShowHost does not take losing well, the few times it does happen, and he's been shown to take that to heart in some form. Erratic, messy behavior and movements, violent lashings and a forecful, aggressive, desperate, so so desperate need to prove himself better than someone, prove something right, or simply to have proof of value at all. And it begs the question: Is 'devil society' simply a term to define the going ons of devils as a whole, or is it just as cruel and demanding of its own kind as it is to humanity?

Biology

• Skin: Soft and hairless, if slightly fatty. Texture is completely smooth. Heals similarly to human skin, but at a much slower rate.

• Internal Structure: None. Consists only of brain matter, flesh, muscle, and tissue.

• Vascular/Nervous system: Little to none. Inner materials are surrounded by a thin layer of an unknown bodily fluid. The devil is capable of feeling pain, but extreme sensations are significantly dampened.

• Bodily fluid resembles blood in color, but is decidedly more viscous, almost gelatinous when interacting with oxygen.

• Warm to the touch. Does not breathe, but a faint, rhythmic pulsing can be felt underneath the skin regardless.

Influence

• Capable of controling the minds of humans with red webbing pulled from the wrists, commonly wrapped around the thrall's neck and forearms. May act and speak directly through thralls in specific scenarios. Animals remain unaffected.

• Radio signals and television broadcasts that breach the surface world often contain mesmeric properties. Signals are rarely discovered without difficulty and intention, and are best avoided.

• Victims of either influence often experience memory loss, frequent dissociative and 'autopilot' episodes, a disrupted sense of time and physical balance, and general lethargy.

• Encounters with a signal leave only temporary, fleeting effects, while prolonged, physical exposure causes severe long-term impairments.

• Will often remain with a single victim for extended periods of time. Normal everymen commonly remain enthralled on and off for months. High-ranking government officials, celebrities, influencers, and those in general positions of power may be drained for years, even decades.

• Thralls typically go missing towards the (presumable) end of their thralldom. Bodies are never recovered.

Relations

sleepyhead

Observed to be a person of interest for ShowHost. Possibly a thrall? He shows a desperate desire to find the subject in question, out of character for him. The subject may have escaped ShowHost before, causing this erraticism. More studies required.

RoseGold

Regards his queen as just another pawn to be dealt with. Based on limited audio recordings, may have had several past relations with the subject, all of which also built on rivalry. With what is known about devil society, ShowHost may be planning a coup of sorts. Unsure what that means for humanity.

FeverPitch

Little is known. The subject in question is a danger in and of herself to study. Seems to have formed an alliance, though knowing both parties' penchant for mind games, it's likely a tenuous one. How ShowHost was able to gain the upperhand is unknown. Maybe he didn't. Maybe he doesn't know that.

Appears to regard the subject with disdain, though only one brief account of this has been found. There is no other information otherwise, but to speculate, it could be that the subject is tied to ShowHost's sudden drop in activity between 1945 and '47, as well as the apparent malformities upon his return.
