Sundial is very sweet and caring. She panics easily and hates violence, and she tends to be very emotional. She tries to avoid conflict if possible. Despite this, she is very self-sufficient and has lived alone for many years providing for herself. She likes making and repairing timepieces, and travels around as a watch merchant. She doesn't have much success, but she enjoys the process of the work most of all and will often do her work to calm herself down.

She travels with Supernova, who had saved her from being robbed by thugs. She enjoys her company, but gets frustrated and even scared by her violent tendencies. They bicker a lot like an old married couple. Mariner intrigues her, and she likes listening to her stories. Honey is her sister, who she has complicated feelings about. Before Honey left to work at Evermutt Labs, Honey was extremely mean to Sundial, and their relationship was very tense. After Honey's accident, her memories were gone and her personality was extremely different, but Sundial isn't sure if she can forgive her yet.
