"Broken and mournful, this once-vivacious and dreaming Sylori was a princess of a picturesque seaside kingdom, now corrupted in storms and inky shadows by the rule of the Irolys sea-warlock who deceived her. Wreathed in shimmering locks, fins that flowed like the ocean currents, and multicolored scales, she enamored the handsome prince of the kingdom, and reciprocated his love - but could not walk with him as a Manu of his own kind. Tricked by a dark bargain, she was stolen of her beautiful voice and left to watch helplessly as the kingdom fell to ruin and the prince perished on his false wedding-day. As he fell into her arms in the churning seas below, she succumbed to her curse and became an ethereal spirit of the waves. Commanding the powers of the waves and seafoam at her fingertips, she saved the Prince's life by granting him a kiss of undeath, but cannot reach him - as only on one day a year can she manifest in her true form. The day of the accursed wedding."
