Basics
Epiales is an orphan who was taken in by the Undertaker in Terralei. She was found when too young to remember anything, and so grew up without knowing, or really caring, about her birth family. As a child, she was very carefree and spent her time playing and learning as most immanu do. However, once her fysa came in, a lot of things changed. Her main fysa was very uncontrollable, constantly causing hallucinations to herself and those who spent time around her. These hallucinations caused her to become scared of everything, not knowing what could possibly be real and what wasn't. it took many years for her to even start being able to figure out what was real, and even then she could be wrong at any point. Eventually she learned that by pushing her fysa further, she could gain respite from these hallucinations in the form of a deep, dreamless sleep. Her strong need to be freed from her broken fysa led her to quickly gain control of her new power. However, she still felt she needed to go out into the world and find a subject of interest to study. And so one day, with the Undertaker's blessing, she left with a caravan to seek a better life.
Epiales didn't last long on the caravan, the new sights and sounds leaving her with little choice than to put herself to sleep for long periods of time, trying to stave off the overload of hallucinations and new sights. Eventually, it caught up with her. While resting at a small village, Epiales thought she had been attacked and ran as far as she could. She eventually passed out in a field, and her caravan couldn't find her. However, an old tolka did manage to find her, and take her into his home so she could recouperate. He told the caravan to go on, and Epiales stayed with him to rest and calm her fysa.
Epiales soon came to find that she didn't want to leave the tolka, they had become very close. The tolka felt the same way, calling her his adopted daughter. In fact, she had even found an interest worth persuing here! The tolkas, Lanthe, was a local fisherman and had started teaching her about the fish he caught and the ones he didn't. Epi now currently lives with Lanthe in a small village between Terralei and Ynoch's tree.

A very anxious but cheerful individual, Epiales will never make the first move in conversation. She will, however, talk your ear off if she has something on her mind or you ask about an interest. She is very focused on trying to help others, assisting even strangers with bags or packing things. She tends to fade into the background after helping people, making them think strangely, but kindly, of her. Epi's appearance and constant yawning makes people feel sorry for her, as they can clearly see how sleep deprived she constantly is despite her fysa.

- Frequently found with pretty scarves or ribbons wrapped around her vents, to reduce any mist that could come out. Go nuts with them!
- Mucous membranes are bright magenta, including vents, gums, and nostrils.

Lanthe found her after she ran away from her caravan in a panicked and altered state, rescuing her and taking her to get her wounds and mental state taken care of. After this, he offered her a place to stay while she hunted for her profession in life. She stuck to him like a fleas on a dog and decided to learn all she can about fish, something Lanthe (a retired fisherman) was happy to help with.
