She writes fiction stories, and has published a trilogy, a few stand-alone novels, and a poetry memoir. She is currently in the early stages of another series of books. Vale enjoys depicting emotion in her work, and has been praised for her unique perspective on relationships and connections between characters, which are inspired by the kind of relationships she desires and values (hence why there are very few romances in her work--something critics do complain about). Though her work often contains fantastical elements, she does not consider herself a fantasy author.

Tends to be reserved around others if she doesn't know them, but isn't slow to open up or talk to others. She does have a habit of turning a conversation into an interrogation as she tries to get to know someone, though... Vale often wears what appears to be an expression of disapproval or disinterest, but it is not purposeful--often she's just lost in thought, or disapproving of something she herself has said! Though Vale is an author, she struggles to explain her thoughts when not able to write them on paper, and so she isn't the most eloquent speaker. Thus she generally prefers to listen when around others, though when the time comes that she has things on her mind she wants to say, she will ramble unendingly about the strangest of things. She's very sentimental and cares a lot about her family. Though intelligent and, well, Xandeeran, Vale is not the most studious of mothcats. She's easily distracted and, for the most part, strongly dislikes research. However, she holds herself to high standards in all of her work, and is quite thorough. Vale is known for scribbling down notes of all kinds (to-do lists, poetry, plot ideas, even whole snippets of story) on any paper she can find, and her lack of apparent organization means she is often seen hoarding crumpled papers she calls "very important!!" She usually has multiple personal projects going on at the same time, which she uses to distract herself from her important projects that have... deadlines... Vale is a natural night owl, but has lately been trying to boost her productivity and inspiration by getting up on time (and going to bed on time) and just following a routine in general. She loves the idea of comfy author aesthetic but is an absolute scatterbrain who is too lazy to keep herself organized for more than a week.

sunsets, sunrises, being comfy & cozy, soft things, bats, snakes, bugs, other funky creatures, plants, getting cool ideas, chocolate, landscapes (especially for desert, dry mountain, and rock formation-type areas, like where she grew up), walking/hikes (though you have to drag her out of the house first), photography (she's new to it)
