Ash is klutzy when it comes to socialization. It's not that she isn't outgoing, but she doesn't really 'click' with most people. She's always straight and to the point, doesn't like pussyfooting around subjects.
She's fast-paced and a go-getter. When she wants something done, it has to be now, or she'll go off to do it herself. This can be problematic at times and get her into trouble, but she believes everything will work out in the end as long as you push to make it happen. Whether that viewpoint holds truth to all her mistakes or not, she'll never tell... mostly because she has no one to tell that TO. She is very lonely, having been used and abandoned often. It drives her to do very selfless things, solely for the appeal of others. She cares very little about her own wellbeing.

- Ash has autism, ADHD and PTSD.
- She collects light sources such as candles, lanterns, lighters, etc.
- Ash is hyperfixated on romance, she LOVES love. She gets infatuated easily, but it's difficult for her to form close bonds.
- She has had a streak of bad relationships. Most people get with her for her looks, but leave for her personality. She likes to ask questions which people feel 'ruin the moment', or she's too overactive, or scatter-brained.
- She has misophonia. The sound of heavy breathing or panting drive her up a wall. She hates it so much.
- She has a habit of piling up things in her schedule, until she forgets what she was doing in the first place.
- Sometimes she smells like vanilla, sometimes she smells like burning metal.
- Has a bad habit of jumping to conclusions, being too forward, and rambling.
- Does the arm flappy thing to stim when she's excited.
- She prefers to analyze things and get critical where others commonly don't.
- She'll go nonverbal when she's really nervous or antsy, getting her point across with a lot of, well, pointing.
- Rarely cries, but when she does, it can go for hours on end.
- She has two dogs; Grzegorz, a noble rhodesian ridgeback and Sable, an old and gentle bullmastiff. She loves them both very much, and cannot sleep in her room unless at least one of them is there with her.
- Her favorite animal, though, are bunnies!
- She's obsessed with weddings, both the actual event and the aesthetic.
- Ash has nyctophobia. She's embarrassed about it, but she has to keep at least one light source on in every room of her house at night. Pitch black darkness causes her awful panic attacks, and even after she's able to see everything again she'll be pretty shaken up.

Ashlynn is a private detective- specifically dealing with cases that involve the supernatural and the paranormal.

She doesn't recieve much work, and has a hard time affording the rent for her own place, but when she's needed she gets the job done. An expert in her field, Ash has defended her town and her people from creatures big and small, managing to scare them off rather than exterminate them. Save for...

Syphious. The one monster she could never persuade to leave- nor manage to fight to the death to stop his nefarious actions. He had been haunting the town of Fogvale since before Ash was even born, and was the primary reasons for disappearances across the province.
Ashlynn is determined, though. She hopes to defeat Syphious one day, whether this means scaring him off for good, or killing him.
Ashlynn (born as an 'Ashton') knew she was a girl from young age. She just... didn't know how to express that. Thanks to autism, she didn't know how to express a lot of things about herself. So when she started feverishly investigating the disappearances of her fellow classmates, many thought of her as just downright rude, disrespectful and mixing fantasy with reality. Truth is, she really was concerned, but this convinced her that no one would tell her the truth. She had to find it out on her own... which, unfortunately, she would.

One fateful night, her father was on a business trip, and her mother was out at a get-together... leaving Ashlynn with her teenage brother, Kenneth. He entertained her for a few hours, before sending her off to bed. When she awoke around 8 PM, her brother had snuck off to a party, leaving little 12-year-old Ash to fend for herself.
Hearing sounds from outside, she went off to investigate, but found nothing out of the ordinary. Still wary, she took an axe from the shed and went back inside. Unfortunately she had forgotten to lock the door, which let the creature, known as Skóraplamić or 'The Body Defiler', into her abode. She held eye contact with it for a minute, before the lights flickered, and then went out completely. It darted at her as she fled to bathroom and locked herself in, hearing the monster prowl around her house and scratch at the bathroom door, before finally her mother returned home hours later to find her fetal-positioned in the bathtub.
When Ash described the event, no one ever believed her. She moved to a small town called Fogvale in BC, Canada that same year... but the fear of that night never left her.

Life went on. Ashlynn grew up, facing many challenges- albeit more 'realistic' challenges. She loved many, but there were very, very few that loved her back. She was always 'too much' for others, leading her down a road of terrible self-esteem, even in her greatest successes.
That was, until she encountered another monster. And another. And another. She had quietly become the province's second most prolific monster hunter. The only thing keeping her at 'second' is that she never managed to kill any of them- only scare them off for good.
She became a private detective specializing in the supernatural, and it felt good, to believe others when they had no one else to turn to.
Open extra box. My thought was to use to describe where they live - both the location & their actual home (a house, an apartment, out in the wildnerness). Or like... use for something else if you want.

Ash and Winona are childhood friends, back when Ash moved from Poland. She thinks very highly of Winona and loves spending time with her.

Ash has known Bennett since she was a child, and he was more of a parental figure to her than her own parents. They work in similar fields, and Ash relies on him for cases at times- if they seem too 'weird' for the average detective.
Frost Altaire ♦ Ex
While Ash and Frost's relationship is... a bit topsy turvy, especially after they broke up, Ash looks up to Frost with high regards. She admires her, and wants to impress her still.
Kenneth Kowalski ♦ Older Brother
Ash is Kenny's younger sister. Although their relationship has been rocky, the two always know they can count on one another. Ash has always admired her older brother and thinks he's super cool!
