TRIVIA

- Has small spines coming out of his upper back. His clothing somewhat covers them up but they can be easily seen if he bends over or moves in the wrong way. He is insecure about them.
- While its hard to see, Asunder's neck mouth is not sewn up. Instead, the skin and 'lips' are very dry, chapped and damaged.
- He is unable to twitch his tail like a normal bird would, instead the large, overhanging feathers work more like a useless skirt more than anything.
- As mentioned before, he is seemingly immortal. The kings men tried almost everything on him, from poison, decapitation/dismemberment, bleeding out, stretching, stabbing, crushing, burning and drowning. Nothing works.
- Limbs that get cut off completely soon turn to ashes, this way you cant just have a collection of his arms, legs or heads just laying around while he continues to grow more back.
-The reason why he was born with monstrous features and without wings was because his harpy mother was possessed by a demon while she was still pregnant with Asunder. The baby's form was changed but this does not technically classify him as a demon.
- Because of this, it is physically impossible for Asunder to ever find, earn or grow real harpy wings. His quest is, was and will always be impossible to achieve.
- Doesn't use shortened versions of words e.g: uses "I do not" instead of "I don't"

BACKSTORY
Asunder goes around the world exploring caves, temples and ruins for treasure worth selling. He has no real home, and is in a sense, a nomad.

He sells almost everything he finds either for coin or knowledge about better places to go hunting as he has no home to keep the things he finds.

Asunder's main goal however, is to 'find' and 'earn' his wings. As a harpy, he's supposed to have wings right? But he was born without them, and instead had strange monster-like features, such as his claws and second mouth on his neck.
And so, he assumed that he was born as something awful and needs to find and earn his wings.

Asunder's story is ongoing, meaning there are almost endless possibilities and events that happen in his endless immortal life. The one below was originally going to be 'end all' to him but ive decided that its just one terrible event of the many that he experiences.

At one point, Asunder's life goes on and on seemingly without ever getting his wings, but he still has hope. One day sadly, he is tricked by a group of bandits that swore they would know where to find his wings.
They capture him, and take him back to a bleak and dark city of crime and slaves, and give it to the king for a reward.
Asunder is locked up for years, in the dungeons at first, but then eventually completely separate from all other life. Intrigued with this strange mutated harpy, the kings men experiment, cut open and torture him. It is then that they discover that Asunder cannot die, and must be immortal, as nothing they do kills him, even cutting off his head and limbs which eventually grow back.
Asunder stays there for so many years that he eventually starts to forget who he once was. He forgets his name, his hobbies, his likes and dislikes. However one thing he can never forget is his quest for wings. Eventually the kingdom falls due to an on going war and battle and Asunder escapes. Had he not escaped earlier, he would have forgotten everything that makes him, him!

Another event can either be placed before or after the prior. Asunder is enlisted as a solider for one of the many warring kingdoms. He, along with many of the harpy kind (even some from the same cluster of harpies he grew up with) fight day in day out, of course without ever dying. It becomes a monotonous task to the point where killing faceless soliders in battle begins to have no meaning.
Its at that point he decies to slaughter the platoon he is sectioned with and run from battle, causing even more unrest in the kingdoms.

Lastly, one more possible event happens after this. Some time after escaping one kingdoms battle, Asunder falls into another. However this kingdom is far more luxurious according to first impressions. For once in his life Asunder thinks he might catch a break and not have to fight and kill. He's half correct, as he no longer has to kill the innocent. However he doesnt exactly catch a break.
The ruler is extremely rich and enjoys all things fine in life. It also turns out that he has a thing for kidnapping young boys/teens and moulding them into well behaving bulters, assistants and sex objects.
Asunder is originally lured into thinking he was in heaven when the man invites him to a dinner party involving only the two of them. The man however does not realize that Asunders hunger is close to eternal and no matter how much expensive and rare food he gives him, he will not stop and become affected by the substance inside all of the food
(which normally causes all the slaves to be subserviant and drowsy, always 'out of it').
Its then that the king becomes impressed and considers Asunder his 'favourite'.
"Something unique! A never ending tunnel it seems! I like this one...i have big plans for you indeed."
Im sure you can imagine what the next few months/years are like for Asunder...sorry.

EDIT: Eventually Asunder manages to escape, but not without dealing a lot of damage to the kings possessions and knight. On the run, the wealthy kings knight, Finnian Bloodhoof, tracks him down for revenge.

Im sorry im so terrible to him.
