The slumbering beast

Legends say that there had once been a proud tribe living in the southern planes of the toskal world. This tribe had been known for its exceptional warriors who back down from no challenge. More often than not, they would hold celebrations to congratulate their warbands for bringing home food and treasures. Over the years the tribe grew in numbers both from its prosperity and the fear it invoked in its neighboring clans. However, this tribe would not be ready for the threat that would come its way in the future.

On that fated day their valiant warriors would stumble upon a den most foul. It had been rumored that the lands beyond their territory grew to be more treacherous, but to their understanding great risk often meant greater reward. Their pride and bullheadedness however would be the reason for their downfall for the moment they set foot inside that cave would be the same moment they drew their final breaths. It was there that they met the wyrm of great pestilence, Hemlock.
