Profile

Appearance

With platinum blonde hair, smokey grey eyes, and surprisingly pale skin, a sideways glance might mistake the woman for a ghost.Rounded eyes are set into an oval face, framed with slightly wavy hair, her narrow neck and rounded shoulders, there seem to be no hard edges to Alice. Her skin is soft, smooth and unblemished even if it never seems to get any sun, her nails are well cared for and often painted, there is a distinct sense when looking at her that she seems to take good care of her appearance.

Though she may not be necessarily into fashion she is certainly a snappy dresser, it comes from hanging around too many Rose Clan vampires. When not in the black pantsuit of her work uniform she tends to wear dark clothes with accents of bright, even neon colors, often accented with simple silver or gold jewelry and soft leather ankle boots. Especially when she's out she likes to put her hair up, or otherwise style to show off the warm purple and red tones she's dyed the underside of her hair, like the late shades of a sunset. All her outfits have one thing in common, however, and that is they all share particularly low-cut shirts of some form or another, showing off intricate tattoos over her chest.

Starting in the center of her chest, just over her sternum, is a simple black ring. Surrounding this circle are several deer, though like the stages of a flipbook it bears semblance of moving, raising it's head from grazing, looking aside, and then seeming to take flight from whatever unseen predator it senses. Spreading from there are interconnected images in traditionally tribal stylings; a lizard climbing over her left shoulder, a puma prowling over her right breast, a giraffe standing proudly from her left hip, and an owl swooping across her back are the most notable landmarks over her body, a stark, crisp black against her pale skin.

Personality

Though Alice has mellowed some through her years, she's still a pretty opinionated person. She may not necessarily party like she used to but she still enjoys a good evening out and socialisation with friends. That's how she got herself into her current lifestyle after all, a college girl looking for a good party. She has become somewhat less dependent on others over the years though, her time as a Beast Clan vampire has given her a little more independence and self-assurance, animals don't typically care as much about how well you play the popularity game. Though Alice is, for the most part, a fairly friendly person and happy to interact with people, she does have a well refined Secretary Face after all her time working in the vampiric banking trade, she's pretty good at acting like nothing phases her, even though she's a lot more easily phased than she'd like to let on. She certainly tends to shy away from open conflict, she likes her cushy civilized life even if that's not particularly typical for her clan, and she's a big fan of staying out of most vampire conflicts. They're a little too lethal for her taste, especially those from her own Clan.

History

Alice grew up in B.F.E. California, a lot of people; and a lot of media; have a tendency to glamorize the state but when you grow up in the middle of nowhere it's anything but. No, it was the opposite side of the country that held her interest. Rather than sunshine and beaches she wanted the bright lights and excitement of Broadway, she wanted to break into acting. She was never particularly rich, after her high school graduation she took a few years to earn some money, began her degree at a local community college, and eventually transferred her way to Humboldt State University. She would never graduate.

It may not have been glamorous but it had plenty of a party scene, and feeling closer to civilization than she'd ever felt before. She may not have gotten too involved in drinking or drugs, but she did her share and she met lots of interesting people, way more interesting than her classes or work. Eventually she found herself in the same room as a man with the most gorgeous topaz eyes she had ever seen. After two or three more seemingly random meetings with Felix he seemed to take a particular interest in her. Though at the time it seemed like a gradual development of their relationship, retrospect showed her that it was little more than a year before she had almost completely dropped out of school, spending most of her time with Felix. When he revealed that he was a vampire it all seemed so obvious, the topaz orange of his eyes and nails, the inhuman tolerance to various substances, his generally nocturnal nature. When he offered to turn her, to show her the world, the answers seemed so completely obvious. She accepted without hesitation.

Apparently she wasn't what he wanted. He had been just as loving and kind at first, introducing her to the Coven, seeing that she was taken care of, until her abilities properly manifested. When they discovered that she was Beast Clan he changed, he had been "so sure she would be Faith Clan" and instead he ended up with another Beast fledgling. Once he had turned her over to the Coven he disappeared.

Of course she was devastated at first, even still hearing his voice sometimes, but slowly she got herself together, found support in the Coven, learned her way through some of her newfound abilities. When she was possessed by a keen sense of wanderlust it seemed much better than anything else she could possibly be doing, and when you can turn into animals travel and shelter become a lot cheaper than they were for a human. She wandered the world, enjoying the fact that she could get into just about anywhere and no human could hope to stop her. Eventually, whether it was the novelty wearing off or perhaps her distance from Felix, she began thinking of the east coast again. She found her way back to New York, to Boston, to Richmond, even a brief stint in Washington. She shuffled through Covens, wandered the states, eventually she found herself in Philadelphia, taking a proper job there. Her ability to keep her mouth shut and her general reliability brought her into Jack Morten's eyes, and the head of the Coven eventually placed her as the head of monetary transactions for the Philadelphia Coven.

It wasn't a bad gig but honestly have you ever had to launder money both metaphorically and literally? No one could ever pay her enough to deal with the number of blood-soaked briefcases that passed through her hands. But at least work stayed at work and her personal time was her own without too many asked questions.
