PERSONALITY

"Why I joined the guild? It's probably the most common answer around, but I wanted to help people. I got into an accident a couple of years ago and ended up feeling helpless after that, but I got some help and I wanted to pay it forward... to do good."

A no-nonsense guilder with a black and white sense of justice, Xan will stop at nothing to protect the innocent and put the guilty behind bars. She has a tendency to come off as a bit too serious for her own good, but that's because she takes her job as a guilder very seriously. A perfectionist, Xan often pushes herself to her limits to get things done. She has her pride and won’t settle for less if she can do better.

When it comes to her friends, Xan's a lot less critical. And while she still isn't the most affectionate person out there, when someone gains her trust they can be sure that she'll always have their backs.

BACK STORY

The daughter of two farmers, Xan lived a quiet life in the small agricultural town of Zul. A run-in with a grizzly bear cost her an arm, and not only that, her brush with death also changed the way she looked at things. That, and all the kindness Laura showed her eventually made Xan want to become a guilder, and as soon as she turned eighteen, she left Zul to join the guild.

EXTRA

• When Xan was fifteen, she lost her left arm due to a run-in with a grizzly bear.
  
  
• She was rescued and taken in by a metallurgist named Laura, and the woman took Xan under her wing and made her a prosthetic arm. Eventually, she became Xan's mentor and the two became like family.
