Petalmask

Petalmask is a brown, cream and ginger she-cat with thick, sleek fur. She has vivid green eyes and a pink nose. They are very pretty, and enjoy keeping themself clean, spending lots of time grooming.

She has thick fur, but it isn't long. She has a fluffy-ish tail and a tuft of fluff on her head. They usually stand erect, and have a very good posture. She's often seen glancing nervously over her shoulder. She can communicate with badgers, and when she is doing this, she likes to bend over slightly to match their stance and put them more at ease.

Petalmask is a tall, tough, and paranoid warrior. She is known to be able to communicate with badgers, and is 12 moons old. They don't have much faith in anyone, and have severe trust issues due to her past with her mother. She is, however, significantly resistant, has healed from greencough twice, and could survive about anything.

Petal isn't high up in the ranks, but was born a High-Den, with huge expectations. She really doesn't like young cats, especially kits, and tries to stay as far away from the nursery as possible. They were brought up to become a teacher, a mentor, but was always reluctant. She is also very fascinated with badgers, and prefers speaking with them, rather than one of her own. She finds the conversation more insteresting.

Petalmask was born to two High-den parents, Icystare and Hollyprick. They were so very extremely strict. Hollyprick, her father, barely ever wanted to see her. She doubted he would even recognise her if he met her. Her mother became her mentor, and pressured her into the role of teacher. They approached her several times, but all they did was ignore their wishes, and kept pushing them. This eventually caused her to break, becoming broken and submissive.

When, however, a family of badgers was reported deep in the territory, Petalmask took the time to study the badgers, and after some time, learn their language. She was eventually brave enough to confront the leader when they were about to send a battle patrol to drive them out, and convinced them that she could reason with it. Of course, they just laughed, giving her until the next sunset to get the badger to leave. And so she did.

Petalmask was only a young apprentice, but she vowed to suceed. They managed to stumble over "I'm not here to hurt you or your children," when the badger let down its guard, shocked. They conversed through the night, each understanding the other's points. A spy had watched the whole thing, and reported back to the leader, who then allowed the badger to stay, as long as it never harmed a cat. Petalmask became a hero.
