Anael is a high-elf Divine Soul Sorcerer. He is a magic prodigy, having signs of powerful magic potential ever since he was young. Flirtatious and sociable, he loves to be the center of attention and relishes in having all eyes on him. However, behind that gracious exterior layed something more sinister. He was calculative and perceptive, but upon being nearly possessed by the malevolent deity Gish, he has come to re-evaluate his priorities and reassess his own perceptions of the world around him. He wants to reshape the world at the shape of his fingertips, but not to hurt others in the process.

He is often haughty, with a boisterous personality and flashy confidence to boost. He can be selfish, but is learning to be more mindful of close relationships and helping people. Loves to talk about fashion and constellations; has a fondness for dancing and is skilled in using magic in dance routines. Studious, loves taking plenty of notes and assessing scholarly works. Afraid of change and intimacy, but cares deeply about protecting his integrity. He was born into the noble family of the Anyx House, who had a notorious history of stealing and profiting off others (including other nobility) He was the youngest of six siblings, all of them being trained to uphold the family name. One day, Anael started displaying unusual concentrations of magic. Working alongside some hired researchers, Anael and his siblings were subjected to invasive experiments to test the capacity for “magic” in the blood. Horrified by what she saw, a guardian tiefling known as Callien, managed to sweep Anael up to the Free Lands when he was 10 (in elf lol). She and her wife, Gardenia, became Anael’s foster parents for the rest of his youth.
