The second Arcanas to be born from the Well, from which burst red sparks and chips of fire at his arrival. The galaxy, still young, still empty, spread before him. Raw magic and creation had dispersed through it at the Fool's behest, though unrefined and useless. At Hearth's careful hand, it formed into the beginnings of planets and moons, asteroids and comets, stars and space. And that same hand has watched over it ever since, taking on the mantle of galaxy leader and counsel, citing his age and experience as the basis.

Such power led to the formation of the Divinity Council, which sought to test the Well's limits. Could they pull forth new life from the Well, against its natural path? Headed by Hearth, supported by other Arcanas, they discovered yes - but at a cost. The Well, exhausted and disrupted, shattered - and ceased its creation entirely. Though not unscathed, Hearth left the Council with their artificial creation in arms, intent on raising Hope as his own.

Not all was well. Frustrated with eons of Hearth's heavy-handed leadership and influence, several Arcanas allied themselves against Hearth. In a cold war of frigid negotiations, they made their displeasure clear. None expressed it as violently as Mercy, however - who took the excuse to blow a hole through Hearth's planet Viira and segregate its peoples. With the planet's Interior calling for independence, and the surface's waning faith in Hearth's leadership, he faces down the suddenly-real possibility that the galaxy has moved on without him.
