Appearance

He wears a glove only on his left hand, since he is right-handed and wants to be able to feel everything 100% with his dominant hand. Even when in his “adult” form, he looks pretty young. Not quite a shota but just a little older than that, appearance-wise. Despite being very physically strong, his body is more on the lanky side. His skin is tanned since he’s a Moon type Venia. He has spiritual fire rings around both his ears and his tail.

Personality

On the surface, Orion seems very nice. However, this is just a facade he puts up. He understands social conventions well, so he knows that he needs to be polite and pleasant in order for people to do what he wants them to do, but that’s all there is to it. He doesn’t actually care about anyone other than himself. (and Fei, but only as a possession, more or less)

Orion has antisocial personality disorder, specifically possessing many traits from the reputation-defending subset. His self-image is very important to him and he cannot handle it if anyone looks down on him or doesn’t treat him with the respect he feels he deserves. While he is calm a lot of the time, Orion will react rather harshly and violently towards anyone who disrespects him though he might laugh it off later. He works very hard, though, and knows that training is the key to strength.

He’s very perceptive, easily able to catch people lying or hiding things. He has the ability to home in on a person’s insecurities and weaknesses with fairly high accuracy. Orion understands people well—he just doesn’t care about them or empathize with them. He sees love and friendship, ultimately, as wastes of time.

When he snaps, he becomes extremely sadistic and aggressive. In this mode, he enjoys inflicting pain on others and seeing them writhe in their own blood. In general, he will not stop attacking his opponent until they are nothing more than a hunk of meat on the ground. Other Venias consider him a problem child because of all this, but they cannot really stop him since he’s powerful and they need him. Orion is aware of this and revels in it.

History

When he was younger and more reckless, he got into a fight with Uzal and was soundly beaten within an inch of his life. Sol-Yun had to save him to prevent his soul from being devoured. To this day, he harbors some resentment towards her for seeing him in such a weak state, but he also admires her for her strength (though he’d never admit it).

He was a child prodigy, but because of his personality he didn’t last long with his various Sun type partners. Orion generally sees Sun type Venias as stupid and barbaric. Eventually he was paired up with Fei Yen, who is more easy-going, and they were able to get along. She generally respects him and dotes on him, which satisfies his ego. Orion has come to be rather concerned with Fei Yen because her actions also reflect on him. Generally he thinks of her as belonging to him (never mind that she’s the older one) so he doesn’t like it when she interacts with others too much and doesn’t focus 100% on their duties. He has a working relationship with Nikola but the two clash because of their personalities.

Orion is well-known as a strong warrior, an elite who's part of Lunar Force. His goal is to set the record for killing the most Devoras. The higher-ups often call on him when they have a big problem, but most of his peers in the military actually don’t like him very much or are afraid of him.
