Dag Dag (Baseball Reporter Dag Dag)

In a baseball AU, Dag Dag serves as the head sports reporter for TV station ROOTNET SPORTS, assigned to cover Root Baseball League's inaugural season.

(In real-life terms, he's the main NPC whose voice I write in-- as he reports on almost everything that goes on in the league, both in studio and on the scene, interviews the players, and explains everything that needs to be explained in canon.)

He's enthusiastic and dedicated to his job, and even though he's a bizarre purple ghost, he nevertheless serves as the straight man among the lunatics surrounding him and the chaos at the station.

And he never gets any respect from anyone. 

Famous-- or infamous-- baseball scout ASTROBOT has open disdain for Dag Dag and sees the ghost as a waste of air time that ASTROBOT deserves.

His co-workers in the studio include the morning show hosts Drew and Eddie. Eddie being terrified of ghosts, he shrieks and does things like throw his shoes at Dag Dag when he sees him-- while on the air-- which doesn't hurt Dag Dag, who is incorporeal, but is very tiresome.

To make it all worse, their boss, the station director Clayton pays no mind to any of Dag Dag's desperate protests and allows ASTROBOT's chaos to continue.

But hey... there's no time to whine about it when there's a job to be done.
