Yuuto is a confident and extroverted shinobi. He is upbeat most of the time and loves talking to others. He likes to lead and is not afraid of responsibilities. Instead, he takes them as challenges and makes it a personal goal to lead a mission to success. He is also very competitive and give his all to win, even if it's against children. The best way to learn in his opinion is by facing a stronger opponent who will motivate him to improve. He is a good Samaritan who wishes to help those in need and is very emphatic. He believes that listening to everyone and suffering through hard times together is the best way to mutual understanding. He is a closed-minded and stubborn teen who doesn't like to listen to criticism. He is happy with the way he lives and doesn't like when people judge his principles. He does not care much if he forgets something because he will make up for it if anything bad happens. His moto is "act first, deal with consequences later". He is extremely impulsive and believes that any consequences can be dealt with and be made into a life lesson. It doesn't mean that he doesn't care about the consequences; he just prefers improvisation over calculated plans. He finds that he works better when under pressure. Sometimes he will even go as far as refusing to use certain items or techniques that are helpful to accomplish a task in order to challenge himself and find new ways to achieve it. He values time and is always perfectly punctual. The only thing that he carefully calculates is his trajectory as being too early or late is not beneficial at all. He finds that most of his inspirations during nature walks or in his dreams while napping in tall grass. His favourite hiding place when upset and wanting to be alone is inside a bush. It is also where he constructs his inventions when he doesn't want to be disturbed as his family can be very loud.

Yuuto grew up in a family of four, including both of his parents, his sister who is 10 years older, and himself. All his family members are ninjas and extremely outspoken. In the rare cases where all members are home, there are never any quiet moments, especially at the dinner table where everyone had to fight to talk. They get along very well and family closeness is a mandatory value to them. As expected of a shinobi family, Yuuto also went to school to learn the art of a ninja. He was well liked by his peers as he was outgoing and enjoyed approaching everyone. He wanted everyone to feel welcome.

His father, Shigeru is the housekeeper of the family, maintain the house and doing most of the cooking. Many of his mannerism come from his father, one of them being his orderliness. He was taught that keeping things neat would keep on motivated instead of sloppy. A messy room gives off an unnecessarily overwhelming feeling that should be avoided. His father is a very understanding and emphatic person so Yuuto likes to go to him for advices and heart to heart talks instead of his other family members. His desire to attend many community projects and volunteering was also influenced by his father who always has the energy to chat and help people in the village.

His mother, Kaede, is a workaholic who is also even more energetic than his father. She often seems to encounter interesting events on her missions, which Yuuto loves to listen to. She is also a great story teller and the one who put him to sleep when he was young by passing on to him amazing myths and stories. Even though she isn't all that young anymore, she used to be his favourite play mate who could put up with the child full of life that he was.

His sister, Umeko, is a very talented ninja who was born with excellent ninjutsu skills and whom he looks up to. She is his practice partner and would never go easy on him. It was frustrating at first to always be losing, but he found out that he was able to make tremendous progress thanks to her. She was overall a great sister who encourages him a lot in his miscellaneous projects. One thing about her that annoys him is her singing hobby. It wouldn't have bothered him too much, but she sings all day. It was a talent that he found rather useless if he had to say. He would always ask her what one could accomplish by singing to which she would answer "don't come complaining to me later if you can't get girls with your deafening singing skills."

His name, 優斗 (gentleness), was chosen by his mother who wanted a quiet and gentle child to even out the exuberant atmosphere in their household. She had heard from one of her missions about how a child's name will define their personality and hoped that a soft name like Yuuto would result in a delicate child. However, it did not work in her favour as he turned out to be a very energetic child like the rest of his family.

As a ninja, Yuuto's tactic is usually to exhaust his opponent before giving them the final blow. He is rarely afraid of fights because of his healing abilities as he is confident that he is able to heal his wounds in case things go wrong.
