Physical Appearance

Clothing Style

Delyless has a rather wide range of styles she's willing to try, but most of her outfits tend to be rather trendy when she's in her hometown. Since she's from a rich family, she can afford rather nice brands and expensive accessories, but she tends to keep things relatively simple. When with her best friend, Mariena, she'll dress more girly with more accessories or some minimal makeup. Otherwise she'll stray anywhere from girly to tomboy outfits, although her general vibe is usually more "sporty" in casual settings where she's likely to be active. She tends to prefer shorts and tank tops when outdoors since she likes to exercise and it gives her more mobility. She also frequently wears her hair up in a ponytail or holds it back with a headband, most commonly a simple black one, or she wears both.

When on Doobutsu Tenshi, she dresses more with the local style. Her common outfit for this is a purple long-sleeved shirt with a dark red sash around her stomach/waist. She also wears a matching red short shawl fastened with a black broach. She does however stick to her jean pants, but she does wear leather boots instead of her usual running shoes.

Personality

Delyless is a headstrong yet somewhat quiet young woman who can quickly get fired up by excitement or competition. She's normally rather polite and friendly to strangers, and she doesn't typically talk that much unless someone else starts the conversation. She is by no means shy though, and she holds herself with confidence and never lets herself get talked over. Delyless can be a bit competitive at times and is always up for a challenge, especially if it means putting someone arrogant in their place. Aside from spending time with her friends to have fun, she generally prefers to do things on her own and not have much help with completing tasks. Coming from a rich family, she often had people tending to her whenever she needed (and frequently when she didn't need them too), so she's rather firm about asserting her independence and making it clear she doesn't need her hand to be held.

Delyless prefers to be outdoors most of the time, or indoor locations that are more spacious and well lit. She's not by any means unintelligent, but she vastly prefers physical activities that keep her on the move and active, and they tend to stimulate her more than mental activities in general. Despite also being rather book smart, she's not particularly fond of studies and simply excels at her classes because it's expected of her. She prefers to use her wits and actions to accomplish things rather than inactive research or assembling facts. She comes off as a bit of a tomboy at times, but she keeps a fine balance between that and her femininity. She enjoys doing the "girly" activities that her best friend, Mariena, loves to do, like shopping or having their hair/nails done, but Delyless tends to enjoy hanging out with boys and participating in more competitive activities, mostly because she's more likely to cooperate with girls and enjoys shutting down arrogant boys that she's more likely to encounter. When it comes to hanging out with her closest friends, she enjoys treating them to things they don't normally have much opportunity to experience, since she's the richest out of her friend group. She doesn't particularly spend much on herself personally unless she's doing something that can be enjoyed with her friends.

With Luke, she tends to show her more stubborn and mildly aggressive side. The way she speaks to him is usually rather teasing, and she rarely refers to him as Luke, opting for either his last name (which he prefers) or calling him "nerd." She has quite the "tough love" mentality about her interactions with him, and she can be rather harsh on him at times, which he seems to accept without issue. The two tend to bicker at times since they're pretty likely to have opposing opinions on various matters, but Delyless has taught herself to listen to him as best she can since he speaks so quietly. She can talk rather loudly when she's worked up, but she never tries to talk over him since she knows he's not capable of raising his voice as much, and also because being too loud makes him anxious if he feels drowned out. As much as they bicker though, she is also fiercely protective of him and has her moments of conventional affection with him. The two tend to treat each other like best friends more than girlfriend/boyfriend, and their relationship is very even without much sign of inequality of power.

Backstory

Delyless grew up a single child in a wealthy family. Although spoiled by her parents, she was always envious of other kids, which her parents felt were too rough and uncivilized for a lady of her class. She would go with her private school friend, Mariena, to play with her public school neighbors, and eventually convinced her parents to let her attend public middle school. Delyless felt much more liberated and free to act how she wanted with these more normal peers who didn't hold her up to any "high-class standards." She then met a mysterious boy reluctantly named Luke, and she tended to argue with him frequently since they were both rather stubborn and their personalities tended to clash. They however ended up being close friends regardless, mostly because Mariena was so persistent in making them get along.

During their sophomore year of high school, Luke was threaten by a foreign terror group called the Enlightened, and she unexpectedly gets caught up in the trials of his destiny when they are whisked away to the foreign world of Doobutsu Tenshi. Delyless has since been blessed by a fox spirit and also gifted with power over fire by the Fyre Channeler, Nateriana, which she uses in any way to aid her friends against whatever the Enlightened has in store for them.
