Taylor is the town's cranky old man that tells kids to get off his lawn. He can be found most often in his antique shop or in the church late at night, weeping on most occasions. He likes to keep to himself and has a snarky response for just about everything. Most of his efforts are made to keep people away and to keep himself lonely, despite desperately wanting a friend in his life again.

Taylor served in the military for some time as an on field doctor, but he left when he himself was injured, giving him a permanent limp and aching back. He continued to work as a doctor in a hospital inside the big city of Chicago, where he met his wife. They married, but were unable to have children. It didn't matter because they were happy together.

Things changed dramatically when his wife was diagnosed with cancer. Because it medicine wasn't as good as modern times, it was a death sentence for his wife who was already in a later stage. He did all he could for her, and as an in-home doctor. She passed during a surgery he was part of and Quinn's entire life shattered before his eyes. He moved away from the city, where no one knew him. He uses the antique shop to keep him busy.
