History:
Was a gentleman in the 1700s. He had a sister who was married off to a rich man. Her husband was physically and mentally abusive. His violence eventually lead to her being shoved down the stairs where she hit her head and died. Eleazar was furious and devastated but the man got off easy having practically no punishment on the pretense that she fell down the stairs on accident herself. Eleazar of course knew better having already seen the bruises his sister would try to hide. His luck only got worse when one late night he was attacked in a dark alleyway where he was turned into what he is now, a vampire. In a starved haze he wandered to his brother-in-laws house where he lost control. He tore into him in a frenzy and bled him dry. His 5 year old niece witnessed all of this and he almost killed her too but snapped out of it before he did any physical harm to her. Once he was more lucid he went into hiding. One of his biggest regrets is that his innocent niece had to see such violence and had to grow up parentless(although he doesn't regret killing her father as his abusive tendencies would have no doubt fallen on his daughter as she grew up with him). She went off to stay with a distant family member and Eleazar would "visit" every now and again, watching from afar and never actually interacting with her. He has a soft spot for aquamarine gems/jewelry as its his niece's birth stone. At first he was despondent over his condition but over time he became a bit unhinged and didn't mind it as much, even enjoyed it.
He absolutely hates men who abuse women because of the history he has with it. He likes to hunt abusive men and almost never eats women, they remind him too much of his dead sister. That being said, let there be no misunderstanding, he's still a pretty callous person in general. He might hunt mostly bad people but that doesn't mean he's a good guy. He can be vary uncaring and emotionally detached. He does not care about killing, it doesn't bother him in the slightest.
