Character sheet

Appearance:

Norrin is a Halfling, therefore, he’s pretty small. He’s only 3 feet tall. Norrin has clear blue eyes and black hair with two pointed ends on the back. His clothing mostly supports brown with some green and black for some variety. The colour black is on his neckerchief that he sometimes uses to cover up his mouth. Under his shirt and jacket he’s wearing a tight honey brown suit for increased mobility. On it are some pockets on the legs for some extra inventory. His belt has some bags on it as well. Just next to his right cheek he seems to have a little scar, almost invisible due to a grin he normally has.

Personality:

Norrin is usually a pretty optimistic fellow that tries to face everything with humour and a smile. If someone’s not feeling great he’d do his best to find out what is bothering them and cheer them up. There is however a limit to how far he can go with that. Norrin quickly feels as if he’s treated like a child, which can easily annoy him. Norrin has some kind of breaking point in his personality. When that breaking point is reached and Norrin is subdued to too much stress, he’s willing to dig his teammates into the ground to get his point over.

Eventhough Norrin tries to be polite most of the time, he usually horribly fails at it due to the fact that he has never learned to be like that. He immediately says what first comes to mind to him and that doesn't always pay off. Norrin is very impulsive and does not back away from situations that usual people would see as very deadly.

History:

Norrin grew up with two lovely parents who were circus performers in 'The Halfling circus'. This circus had the weird tradition to leave their children behind every ten years, once a child was old enough. Old enough being 12 years old. Yeahhh...
Sadly for Norrin, he was only 12 at that time. He was the youngest person in the group, hence his still kind of childish behaviour, having always been the youngest. The group called themselves 'The Halfling Band', seeing as they were all halflings. They earned their money by performing on the street. Well, they earned a quarter of their money with that. The other three quarters was earned by stealing people's possessions. They were quite good at that. They all had quick fingers and felt no real regrets when stealing. Except for the little Norrin then. He always felt bad when pickpocketing somebody innocent. He questioned this a lot with his other band members. One day, the band had enough of Norrin, and they left without him. Now he was on his own. 15 at that time.

Norrin now rightfully earned his money by only performing. He still had his weapons though. He didn't find a need to sell them. It'd also help if he'd ever get mugged. Around a year later during night time, while he was camping in the forest, he met a friendly fellow named Lorrimore. However when they met, the man was involved into quite some terror. A Vorpal Rabbit was attacking him. Norrin came to the rescue and scared the rabbit away with some of his kek tricks. Norrin had a fun talk with Lorrimore and actually camped a few days with him. The guy was still very vague about things, but Norrin didn't care. He could understand that maybe there were some bad things he wanted to keep for himself. He was still interested in the stories the man told. Where Norrin didn't believe in most of these fairy tales, Lorrimore was sure that they were actually true. Norrin could appreciate that. Lorrimore was someone that would go out of their way to prove you wrong, not just to win the discussion, but to educate you aswell. After their camping trip Norrin and Lorrimore stayed having contact. The man had sent Norrin on a few harmless quests to get some ingredients from places that were quite some distance away. He had asked some questions why Lorrimore needed these ingredients, but Lorrimore never actually told him. That was okay. It was meant for research.

Norrin has been a traveler, but since the last year or so he is missing something. Some solid ground to stand on when you just want a day off. A village that knows you not for your tricks, but for your personality. Someplace to actually live. He could always make some new friends at the bar in the evening, but those friends never went with him. He often traveled with other people, but they would always leave after some time. Norrin has seen a lot of happy families during his travels. It bothers him. It bothers him that he doesn't have one anymore himself. That his parents were forced into a stupid tradition. That he now was alone, without any real close friends. He wants to take a new path, but there don't seem to be any new paths nearby.
Life went on. Now Norrin is 19 and slowly starting to get a bit adult. Will Lorrimore's death help him find the path he's looking for? Probably not, but he'll at least meet new people...
