Profile

The witch known as Carmine comes from a long line of mages, specializing in the elemental forces of nature.  Never content to stay in one place for long, she travels the land, always looking for a second opinion on whatever subject matter she happens to be studying at the time.  Through magic, she's even extended her own lifespan; her youthful appearance betrays the wealth of experience she's accumulated through the decades.  She uses this to her advantage, gaining the trust of others she's actually targeting for dark secrets or forbidden knowledge.  She's utterly lost her sense of danger, often guided by curiosity alone.  This may help with her supernatural investigations, but it's also a matter of time before she gets in over her head and something bites her back.  Deep down, she realizes this, but she refuses to outwardly acknowledge it.

Carmine tends to reject any long-term employment, preferring to follow her own sense of curiosity, but will begrudgingly accept help if offered.  In her eyes, teamwork is a potential liability, as others getting caught puts her in danger as well.  She'd rather take charge, and is sure to complain if she has to go by somebody else's rules, doubly so if they won't even accept her input.  To her allies, she comes across as smart and dependable, but stubborn to a fault.  To the subjects of her quests for knowledge, she could better be described as "persistently annoying."

A roleplay character, and thus can work in a variety of settings.  Her exact species and abilities can change as needed, but I'd prefer her to be some sort of magical kemonomimi.  In species-agnostic settings, she could have history with Ecclesiastes, whom she traveled with for a while, but their obtuse answers only served to irritate her.  Not terribly fond of the constant inquisition, they managed to slip past her grasp.  Carmine considers this only a minor setback, and refuses to give up chase, intent on finding them again someday.  She could also have a familiar!
