Blake Lacoure
Blake is four years younger than Sarah, and eight years younger than Macy. He never really knew his dad, and grew up attached by the hip to his mother.
He works some weekdays at Minnie's bakery, and loves it. He likes getting to see Macy, and doesn't think about Sarah except at Thanksgiving and Passover.

Blake lost his hearing at age 2, and didn't get hearing aids until he was 12. They work alright, but he's still Deaf, so he uses American Sign Language to communicate. All of the Lacoures on his side of the family are fluent, and Minnie's learning slowly. He likes doing tech for his school plays, and playing soccer. So basically, he's a totally normal kid with average problems.
The Not-So-Distant Past
Being a sibling of Macy Lacoure does have its disadvantages. There was no big schism, but Sarah barely speaks to the rest of the family. And that's NOT Macy's fault. Blake is 100% right about this. After Macy's accident, she leaned a lot on her brother. He started coming less, racked with stupid guilt over what could have been. Which, again, is stupid.
Now
He's getting better about visiting. He's grown a lot, and Macy honestly has trouble keeping up with him. He's much cooler, much prouder of who he is, and she admires him for it. So they do what siblings do: they gosip about his crushes, they squable, they make a mess in Minnie's kitchen.
- He loves to bake (especially since he can't really work the register), but his favorite thing to make are cupcakes.
- Blake hopes to do something cool when he grows up. He doesn't know what that is yet.
Macy and Blake are as close as siblings can get. They're both nerds who love to create, and they see each other as often as a high schooler and a baker can.
Minnie's like the third older sister Blake never had. She's caring and patient and willing to pull any pranks he wants as long as they'll bother Macy. They're a chaotic duo and should be stopped.
