History
No one knows much about Simon's early life, not even Simon himself. He never knew his parents, nor anything of his birth family and found himself fending for himself when he was young. He practically grew up on the streets. As a child, he was raised by a daemon named Laplace, who basically tought him the ropes, including how to read and write. Laplace unfortunately passed--or just disappeared, Simon still isn't sure--and then he was alone again. Eventually, he met Swain and his gang, ENGELBRECHEN. He joined and climbed the ranks rather quickly, forming a close bond with Swain and becoming his second-in-command. He finally felt as if he had a place he belonged, and was able to consider them part of his new family.
About fifty or so years ago, Swain brought back a then-infant Fritz. Simon thought Swain was crazy for bringing a literal baby into the gang, but with Bluebell's help, he was able to raise Fritz as his brother.
Despite once respecting and caring deeply for Swain, Simon left when things began to change. He felt as if he couldn't trust him and thought of him as a danger to himself and the rest of his gang. Despite Simon's plea, Fritz would not follow, being too afraid to lose the only kind of family he had ever known. Simon left without him and landed himself a job at a casino named GOMORRAH that caters to all, but specifically the Ethereal, where he works as a croupier.
Personality
Simon comes off as cold and crass at first, because he is. He's sarcastic and can be pretty rude, and it takes him a while to warm up to most people. Most people find him unpalatable and avoid him if possible.
Despite all his negatives, he shockingly has positives. Not many, but he has them. He's awfully loyal to those who deserve it and a bit of a romantic and a flirt. Whether or not the latter gets him anywhere is another story. He's fiercely protective of those he cares about and won't hesitate to throw himself in harm's way to protect them.

Trivia
- Despite working in a casino, he's awful at poker. His ears give away his emotions.
- Being a capridaemon, his canine teeth don't stop growing and he has to manually wear them down, be it by filing then, chewing on things, or by yanking his teeth out. If he does the latter, they start to grow back the next day.
- For some strange reason, he gets frequent nosebleeds if he overexerts himself. This might also be why his black eye never really heals.
- Like other demons, he has a temporary human form he takes whlist in public. This, however, often leaves him exhausted and of course, with a nosebleed.
- While he looks to be in his mid to late 20s, his real age floats around the 450s.
- Along with English, he's fluent in both Daemoniac and Enochian. With Swain's help, he also knows a bit of German, Latin, and Greek.
- He sheds the fur on his tail and head twice a year, once in the Summer and once in the Winter. In the winter, the fur is thicker and longer.
- His birthday is October 14th, making him a Libra. He doesn't celebrate it, however.
- He is the paternal half-brother of Alverich, though neither of them are aware of the fact.
Appearance
Simon is tall and bulky. In his demon form, he has pure white hair with a pair of animal-like ears with dark blue insides. Each ear has two stud piercings, and two small hoops. He has tree pairs of horns--two small ones above his brows, two large ones behind those, and another two small ones behind them--that are a deep navy blue at the base and get lighter and brighter towards the tips. His eyes are a bright red with yellow sclera. He's got a decent amount of body hair, including stubble on his face. Stubble doesn't grow on the right side where he has two slender scars. He has two more scars across his chest and abdomen. He has sharp, pointed teeth and a forked tongue with a single stud. Simon also has a pierced navel and nipples. His tail is long with two prongs towards the tip before ending in a long tuft of fur, with a trail of the same fur that starts at the base of his tail and trails up to the middle of his back. He has long claws on his hands that he has to trim regularly. Simon also has prominant bags under his eyes, but the one on his left is obscured by a permanent black eye.
As a human, most of his features remain the same. He looses his horns and tail, and his animal ears turn into human ones. His sclera shift to white, and the inside of his mouth is a more normal, pinkish red color.
In the Winter, his ears are tipped with longer, darker colored tufts and the fur in other parts of his body is longer and softer overall. In the summer, it tends to be shorter.
Design Notes
- His mouth, tongue, blood, and organs, etc are all the same deep blue color as his horns.
- He has a tattoo of his old gang's logo on the bottom of his left foot. Usually not visible.
- Two scars on his face and two long ones across his chest and abdoment, they do not connect.
- Several piercings, including four on each ear, one on his tongue, one on each nipple, and one on his navel.
- Permanent black eye on his left eye, and a promenant eyebag under his right.
- Ears usually lie horizontally and turned back, almost like a goat. They only really perk up when he's interested in something or listening for something in particular.
Relationships
Brother [deceased]
While the relationship that Simon and Fritz had could be seen as more of a Father and son one, since Simon raised Fritz since he was only a few years old, they considered eachother brothers. They, like many other siblings, did not usually get along and Simon considered him a brat and a nuisance, but as the both of them grew up, their relationship impoved and towards the end, they were very close nearly inseparable.
Ex-gang leader
Simon used to respect Swain and acted as his second-in-command. He had a dogged loyalty, but this faltered over the many years they spent together. Simon's respect for him began to fade, and Simon began to question his real motives, calling him and his actions reckless and accusing him of not caring for the rest of the gang. Swain considers him a traitor for leaving the gang.

Simon's relationship with them is complicated. Bluebell was Swain's other second-in-command and because they worked so closely with Simon, they became very close friends. Their relationship also had a romantic aspect to it, but despite all their 'dates' and displays of affection towards eachother, they never referred to themselves as anything more than friends.

They weren't too involved with eachother while in the gang, but Valentine looked up to Simon as both his senior and his superior. Nowadays they are fairly good friends and hang out often. Valentine left the game shorty after Simon did, neither of them know the whereabouts or fate of the other members.
Pet Tortoise
A female Egyptian tortoise and technically belonging to his brother, but Simon took her in when he left the gang as per Fritz's request. He pretends he doesn't care all too much about her, but he can be seen talking to her sometimes and really does enjoy her company in his otherwise very lonely apartment.
Friends
These three are fairly new friends of Simon and he met them via Valentine. He's closest with Dirge, but doesn't mind the company of the other two either. He doesn't understand how Valentine could date Ezra, an angel, but he has warmed up to him.
Ex-gang members
Twin siblings. Simon always thought of these two as weird. He was never particularly close to either of them, but did find them annoying as the two liked to play pranks and bother him. Simon is convinced they target him in particular, when in reality they like to annoy all the members equally.
Ex-gang member
The oldest member of the gang and the one in charge of patching everyone up due to his knowledge of medicine. Simon used to talk to him a lot, due to his problem with overexertion and constant injuries.
