Not only that but his fame made him prideful, and he's capable of lying or playing tricks if it means he will stay in the best spot, even at the cost of others looking bad. He knows very well this is the way of surviving for highbloods, but it makes him feel very lonely.

And also, Moruna acts aloof and ignorant to the injustices other highbloods commit, it's more important to not get involved than doing what's right. He has yet to realize his inaction is part of the problem.

It's not surprising that the person who is the culmination of such emotional turbulence makes a living by sinking ships.
