Locke is very solitary, finding that he enjoys the company of a good cigarette to that of his 'roommates.' Their constant berating tends to push him out of the flat more than he's in it.

With his real, very good friends, however, he tends to find himself coming out of his shell a bit more.

Locke is a man who finds himself getting angry easily, and someone who can stand up for himself when he feels like he's been wronged. He can be considered standoffish, shut off and generally quiet.

However, with his friends he finds himself being much more chilled out, allowing himself to open up to them in a way he hasn't to other people. It's almost like flicking a switch.

BACKGROUND
A fuck up attempt at living...
The Start

Locke doesn't talk much about his past.

A smart kid in school, and someone who caused relatively little issues, he finds none of it important to mention.

When his father left, he got a little lost in his studies, finding himself moving up quicker and quicker. By 8, he'd been moved up a year or two in school, finding himself not caring about it in the pursuit of ignoring his home life.

Everything else was relatively a blur.

The Beginning Of The End

At 16, Locke met Channel.

The newly made TV head seemed lost and alone, so Locke decided to comfort it. No one knew that the two would cling to each other like they were attached at the hip. They became so close, Channel had copied Locke's accent, and started to talk like him.

No one knew how bad this would turn out.

The Roommates keep coming

A year into knowing Channel, Flare joined their group, and they bought a sizeable apartment. Flare, however, threw a wrench into the works, whether they meant to or not, and Channel slowly acted worse and worse.

Ink was quick to follow and generally kept out of everyone's business, especially Channel's. At this time, Flare and Channel started sharing a room, as there were only three.

Macken also followed behind, joining them all a year later. Him and Locke shared their room, a time which Locke would prefer to forget.

Corra and Starfell came together, making the apartment practically burst at the seems. Locke took to sleeping on the couch, while Starfell shared a room with Macken and Corra went with Ink.

The Somewhat Present

At 19, Locke decided to stop his quickly growing drinking habit. He also decided to cut off whatever relationship he had with Channel, pissing it off immensely.

For the past few years, Locke has been collecting real, tangible friends in Dizzy, Injury, Lavender, Lost and Worse. Spending most of his free time with them and not his roommates, that also pissed off Channel.

Overall, Locke is simply trying to live life to the best of his ability.

Meet the menaces...

Despises

Channel and Locke despise each other, no matter how close the two were before.

Locke realised soon after Channel started being ruder and ruder that all it wanted to do was control him, and he didn't take kindly to that. He tries to spend as much time away from it as humanly possible.

Puts up with

Corra and Locke find they generally keep out of each others hair and to themselves.

Corra has a complex that is incredibly annoying to Locke, putting themself in a position of importance over everyone and refusing to admit they're not as important as they think. He likes to avoid their inflated ego.

Friends

Dizzy and Locke haven't known each other long, but they get along pretty well, all things considered.

Ever since Dizzy helped take care of him while he was ill, Locke has found himself trusting Dizzy quite a lot. He still doesn't understand why exactly she found him scary, but she doesn't now, so who cares.

Confusing

Flare and Locke have a very odd relationship, often quite bad but sometimes half decent.

Locke finds Flare confusing. Sometimes, they treat him like dirt, which is to say less than nothing, and then other times they seem to keep it real with him and indulge in their emotions. He doesn't get them.

Close friend

Injury and Locke are close, and Locke finds himself wanting to protect the kid more often than not.

Locke still finds himself a little confused at the ins and outs of Injury's life and such, but in time he found himself not caring. It would be hypocritical to think any different given the cast of characters he lives with.

Begrudgingly ok

Ink and Locke have their moments together, far and few between but undeniably there.

Locke finds it hard to get along with Ink sometimes, with their high horse attitude - however, there are times they are shockingly down to earth, and he finds that in those times, they could almost be friends.

Getting to know

Lavender and Locke haven't hung out much, but the few times they have, it's been nice.

Lavender is a nice quiet person, and listens pretty intently when Locke just talks. Locke finds Lavender just likes people watching, and is happy to play his more chilled music with them.

Very close

Locke and Lost hang out more often than not, and he likes to think the two are close.

Locke finds Lost genuinely fun to hang out with, finding that they can be funny and jokingly sarcastic back at him, when they're not anxious. He finds them to be a good and trustable friend.

Deals with

Locke and Macken seem like two people who'd fight like cat and dog, and while they can, they do have fleeting moments of ok.

Locke finds Macken annoying most days, but also finds that he can have a rather normal conversation with him. It's strange, because Macken flip flops between teasing and moments of genuine reflection.

Heavily dislikes

Locke and Starfell don't hang out a lot, and Locke prefers it that way, even if Starfell tries to push his boundaries.

Starfell is incredibly two-faced, acting sweet and innocent most times, but will turn around and talk trash about others - to Locke's anger. He hates the things they say and the way they act.

Close friend

Locke and Worse have a relationship full of playful chidding and insults, but also heartful talks and helping each other.

A relationship full of nice moments, Locke's found himself caring deeply for Worse, which is something it replicates back to him tenfold. He'd happily talk to them for hours, and he'd get the same back.
