Smallhorn is a very, very unlucky NightWing. He hatched 2 days earlier than his supposed-to-be twin, Skyflyer, so he didn’t gain the mind-reading abilities that his parents had ever-so-carefully timed all of their conceptions to and is the only one in his family without mind-reading powers. He does, however, have strange lash-like scales near his eyes that are slightly lighter than the rest of his scales. While hatching, he scratched himself with his eggshell and nearly blinded himself in one eye.

He was born with one horn smaller than the other, and it never grew to match because he had a calcium deficiency as a child. It’s mostly alright now, but he gnaws on bones after every meal to be careful, and makes sure to take care of his horns, nails, and teeth more than most dragons.

After graduation from school he, Skyflyer, and Diamond had a little too much to drink. He doesn’t remember what happened; but he woke up with an ear piercing. Diamond thought the earring was endearing and bragged about the fact she was the one to pierce him; so he kept it, even if he thinks it looks a little bit dumb.

He is in love with Diamond but doesn’t know if she and Skyflyer are dating or just friends, so he stays out of it and lets them be.
