Poppy ✦

Poppy came from a hidden village of flower demons, a special demon race with flower related powers, who lived together within a lush meadow in the land of Olrichula. She was raised by her single mother, a violet poppy named Hensol, who Poppy grew stronger for so she could take care of and protect her mother in the future. The same way her mom did for her growing up. Poppy always had her friends and their families backing her up as well, most importantly her best friends, Rose and Lotus. They've known each other since birth through their parent's, and called their trio the "Devils in Flora".  Each member had a representing animal for their personality/preferences to go with their flower.

When they were around 13 years old, shadow monsters began appearing without warning throughout the entire land, forcing the race to go into hiding after their village had been discovered by the shadows. Poppy and her mother did their best to try and escape with the other flower demons, but there were so many that the two were separated. Poppy did her best to fight back to get to her mom before the shadows began overwhelming her, and she thought she was done for, hoping that at least her mom escaped. Before the monsters could take Poppy away, her mother came bursting through them using some flower power. She grabbed Poppy by the arm, and the two ran to safety with the others.

Poppy was grateful for her mother saving her, but felt bad that she couldn't protect her mother herself, even though she tried so hard. She decided she'd only have to try harder to be fully capable of protecting her mom. So Poppy, along with the rest of the "Devils in Flora", decided to take lessons offered by a flower demon they knew named Amaryllis and some adults in using their flower powers for combat.

The "Devils in Flora" were among the many flower demons who grew stronger with improved combat skills and flower power, with Poppy's powerful dance moves and lyrical creativity increasing them. Upon mastering Amaryllis' training with her and the others, Poppy was given the final training task to go out of the flower demon's hideout to seek a special blacksmith to forge a powerful weapon(s) based off her flower, to better train and defend herself against the ruling shadows someday. Upon completing the task Poppy received the Punk Poppies, a pair of cute yet powerful sawn-off shotguns that had jewels in them (similar to Poppy's earrings) that allowed the guns to summon an endless supply of ammunition. 

Over the years the remaining flower demons fought back against the shadows in order to remain undiscovered in their hideout. Poppy was determined to look after and protect Rose, Lotus, and her mom by putting them first, since they were all she had. 

Five years after the shadows attacked, a flower demon named Lavandula, who was thought to have been lost during the village's destruction, resurfaces as a strong man with a new power to travel with doors of light. With the help of the Olrichula’s leaders, he vanquished the shadow guardian that blocked the world’s Heaven’s Gate, and opened it to allow the Creator to finally take action. With the Creator’s influence over the world once again, the land was cleansed of the dark creatures and peace was restored. This allowed the flower demons to come out of hiding after all these years, and Lavandula reunited with his people and friends/family. A celebration was held that night in honor of his victory and the return of the flower demons.

The next day Lavandula spent time with his family and then individually with his friends before saying his goodbyes, explaining how he was embarking on a journey across worlds on behalf of the Creator. Later that day Poppy bumps into Lavandula as he's preparing for his journey, and thanks him for everything he's done. She then musters up the courage to ask him if he could possibly give her some pointers for when in combat, like gun-wielding, confidence in singing/dancing to increase flower power, and in general. Lavandula happily helps Poppy out with what he's learned over the past five years and from Amaryllis that day, giving her a better understanding and confidence in herself and her strengths. Poppy thanks Lavandula, and bids him farewell as he went to continue his preparations for his departure.

Later on the "Devils in Flora" regroup in their original village to plan how they're going to prevent what happened to Olrichula from ever happening again.
