Teega is Kuro's twin sister and Pawa and Hope's biological daughter. While her brother was disowned for his obviously genetically mutated coat, something her pride believed to soil the species' blood, Teega was kept. However, her presence only reminded her family of her brother and the anomaly he represented, causing her to suffer from bullying. When she because capable of caring for herself, Teega left the pride and resided in the mountains on her own.

She left so early, in fact, that she doesn't properly remember her name or what it meant. She is not bothered by this fact and believes that there is more meaning in actions than in words.

Eventually, Teega is reunited with her littermate, whom she resents for making her life difficult. However, she does accept to climb down the mountain and to come live with him in Panja's Jungle as he promised her an easier life. There, Teega befriends Gairan and the two bond over their diffucult family experiences and violent tendencies, joinging forces to be a problematic pair for their own siblings and the royal twins Rune and Rukio to handle.
